:whip: :p

But my point stands and people are just looking to be offended by things nowadays.

Maybe it's just me but I'd feel like a twat going up to someone at work and saying, 'I'm offended by your swearing'.

Political correctness is the downfall of society. There are far too many people looking to be offended. :whip:

If I were in your shoes I'd do anything subtle to offend her, including blatant abuse of blue language in and around her office/desk.

Unless she's your boss (doesn't sounds like it though)

Well about 2 months ago we had a company meeting about harassment as a result of an employee overhearing some offending remarks. The details were very broad, but no one person was identified and a very firm warning was issued. So now our boss is very strict on making every employee feel comfortable, so I will have to tone down my s, dickweeds and gods.

She's ugly. That's offensive to me!

I swear ALOT. but in my line of work, if i dont throw a couple F bombs in a phrase, people dont pick up the sense of urgency.

ie: Sir, i have done some calculations and it appears to me that your bridge deck elevations did not factor into account the width of bearing seats.

The contractor would then proceed to do things according to his origional plan and the bridge would be sitting 10 cm too high.

now here is what i would say to a contractor.

"What the ? pull your head out of your ass, you have bearing seats to fit in there you tard! that in deck is going to be 100 ml out of spec and im going to hammer your ass with deviations then make you diamond grind that sucker at your dime! get it in fixed!!"

the contractor would then proceed to drop everything and fix the problem as he sensed that im lividly pissed off with him and im prepared to rectally violate him with extra fees and work.

In the office, i refrain from swearing, aside from the odd freudian slip when my computer craps out. But sometimes its hard to separate my field vocabulary from my office linguistics.

swearing is the . one time this bloke in singapore was taking forever to transact a margin call so my boss was like "call him up and use your entire 4 letter vocabulary to let him know this needed to be done yesterday" so needless to say i got to call this guy up swear a whole lot. it turns out he and my boss were old pals and this dude was notorious for dropping f-bombs, even in the boardroom sometimes i was told

there's nothing better than telling someone to off; there is the sweet build up to the ffffff and then the ckkkkk release ah man swearing really is the .

truth be told i don't understand why words are considered bad other than can mean to have sex and is just well i guess we need to protect our childrens' young sensitive ears!:toothless :toothless :toothless :toothless :toothless

yeah really people need to drop the whole cursing is bad thing we'd all have a lot less stress by droppin them f-bombs

But if people dropped the "cursing is bad" idea, then cursing would actually lose its effectiveness. Swear words would be just like other words; they would no longer imply any special kind of anger or urgency.

I know more people that don't know any Spanish, but know 90% of the curse words in Spanish :toothless
