Obama's Aunt found living in Boston slum

Obama's aunt (Zeituni Onyango) has been affectionately described in his book Dreams from My Father. When you measure the way this guy has cared for his family versus what he talks about with charity and how we've all gotta help each other out... he's not helping out his own family because he doesn't want to use his own money. One half brother in a hut on $12 a day in Nairobi, now this. Does any of this mean anything to you guys? Do these things add up as they come to light?
(from his convention speech) OBAMA: It is that fundamental belief -- I am my brother's keeper, I am my sister's keeper -- that makes this country work.
Rick Warren at the Saddleback Church August 16th said to Obama: "What would be the greatest moral failure of America?"
| quote: | | OBAMA: America's greatest moral failure, in my lifetime, uh, has been that we -- we still don't abide by that -- that -- that basic precept in Matthew that, uh, whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me. And that notion... that basic principle applies to poverty, it applies to racism and sexism, it applies to, uh, not having -- not -- not thinking about providing ladders of opportunity for people to get into the middle class. I mean there's -- there's a pervasive sense, I think, uh, this country, as wealthy and powerful as we are, still don't spend enough time thinking of the least of these. |
Does this mean that we should demand Obama move to a housing project or a hut? Is he blaming America for the circumstances in which his aunt lives in a slum in Boston? He's not even willing to take care and help his own family, and how many mesmerized Americans think he's going to take care of them?

Yawn...I suppose you'd bail out all of your family members. It sounds like he's got a rather large family and probably doesn't keep in touch with all of them, let alone knows what living conditions are like.
Also, you make it sound like Obama's really wealthy or something. He's no John McCain. He just finished off his student loans
You guys must be extremely worried to be pushing this bull all the time these days.
Edit - Has anyone seen an Obama family tree? I bet it's insane. |

These expositions on Obama's family tell more about the people performing them than those they are "exposing." George Onyango was not unhappy, was not angry with Obama, and got upset when the media tried to portray it as such.
Whenever a new family member is found what do we learn? They are very enthusiastic about Barrack and support his candidacy. They're not bitter, there's no animosity, and they're surprisingly well restrained in making any gaffes. Barrack has been through all this and likely taking all the necessary precautions to protect himself and his family.
The real crime here is trying to make assumptions and judgments about someone elses family history.

Yeah.
It means the straw grasping is becoming ultra desperate, and if this is the best they come up with, then Obama might actually indeed be a good and decent human being afterall... |

Here's one - http://www.suntimes.com/images/cds/...amily_tree.html
I'm sorry, but compared to my family, this is insane. If Barack were like most family members, he's be nearing the end of wife #2, looking for #3, with something like 7 kids. |

| Its also funny how when the right sets out to investigate and interpret Obama's family tree, they never spend time on his mother's side. They don't talk about his war hero grand father and grand uncle. They focus on his father's side and use it to create fear and uncertainty about Obama. |

Well, that's the black side.

One of McCain's houses exists so some of his family members that aren't well off have a place to live (in AZ)... they don't make them pay rent or anytthing. Obama's aunt, who again isn't some random shill on the shady branch of the tree, is in Boston living like this, not Africa like some of the others. This is a woman he lovingly talks about in his book. There is a difference, especially with the line that Obama peddles about poverty and being your brother's keeper |

I'm not really sure what "some random shill on the shady branch of the tree" means, but this is his grandfather's 3rd wife's child. |
