I respect marathons, in fact I usually don't like seeing djs for anything less than 3hrs. |
me neither. actually, anything less than 5 hours, i'm kinda like "meh". i mean, i'll still go, but it seems like kind of an anti-climax.
remember that time when we left aria at 1:30? :nervous: |

Yep, I do. When are we doing that again? ;)
3 hrs is my bare minimum these days unless it's something like a live PA or a dj who does great shorter sets like Porter. |

| For house, I agree that marathon sets are better. For techno, I'd say short sets are better. The best techno sets I've heard have been 2-3 hours long. One of the best hard techno sets I've heard was a 1 hour set by a French DJ named Scan X. |

Ahh, no! It's incredible to hear what techno DJs can pull out over a long set...it's interesting to see/hear where their other musical tastes lie. |

The best sets I've heard from Richie have been the longer sets...4+ hours. |

I'm talking proper techno like Jeff Mills, etc. Usually when techno DJs play longer sets, they end up playing a lot of house too. In that case, it's more interesting to hear a longer set, but it's usually not what I would classify as a techno set. |
