A very sad reality indeed.
I'm not sure I agree with all of Obama's policies but definitely more than I would with McCain's. It's time for change. Hopefully Obama will deliver. |

I think this election is going to be a lot closer than people think.
There was an article, I forget where, but it was showing how it was very possible (though unlikely) that Obama would win the Popular and Vote and still lose the election (ala Bush Round 1)...

I want Obama to win but he won't change that much. Everything will remain relatively the same, with the exception of a few small things here and there like higher taxes for the rich. I think people are being too optimistic about the change Obama will bring. Everyone has to remember that his hands will be tied on a lot of issues and it isn't just "Obama says this therefore that's how it will be". There's people out there, other than the President, who have a say in American policies as well.
What I'm worried about the most though, is the fact that the polling stations won't handle the turnout. Line ups are going to be H-U-G-E. I wouldn't be surprised if a good chunk of people won't be able to vote because the stations will already be closed by the time they get to the front. Gotta love it though; all America ever preaches about is the "freedom/democracy" bull and they're not even properly equipped to handle a large voter turnout. |

The Globe and Mail is running a feature on the event and CNN has contacted us to see what we're up to.

Yeah, there are already signs of this happening due to polling machine malfunctions and stuff like that. Every issue gets amplified when there are so many more voters.
I fully expect that the administration of this election is going to be grossly mishandled. |

I'm gonna laugh so hard if McCain wins.
This will be the New England Patriots vs. New York Giants Superbowl all over again. Everywhere I look; people aren't talking about who will win but how great it will be when Obama is President, what kind of President he will be, etc etc.
Oh, and I was wrong about them not being prepared for the election. Ohio Police have been ordered to wear riot gear. Awesome. Just imagine if all the people that didn't get to vote start to riot (and they f'ing should). |
