The high price of oil was partially attributed to the US policy to load up oil reserves, driving up demand at a time when other supply/demand factors were out of balance as well...but that's too much of a hijack for this thread.
I think there is a good chance of an assassanation atttempt. One was just intercepted last week folks. |

actually i think its much simpler than that
people who realease weekly oil supply data were bribed by some oil companies this created "lack of supply" and all investment banks/ pension funds started buying oil futures like crazy thus inflating the bubble |

Anyone else a little concerned how ridiculously close the popular vote is??
Right now its:
Obama: 13,568,499 (50%)
McCain: 13,361,837 (50%)
i kinda expected Obama to have a sizable lead by now.... |

so far though there hasn't been any States that have switched parties from last election. (according to CNN).
Ohio or maybe NC might be the first one to go Democrat that was Republican last election.

CNN predicts Obama wins Ohio....
significant because no republican has ever won the whitehouse without winning Ohio.
MORE IMPORTANTLY
it means that unless McCain can sweep almost every other state, including California (which will NEVER happen), the republicans mathematically CANNOT win
 :tongue2 |

| Yeah, Obama will win. Not by a landslide but he will win. |

Obama has won Pennsylvania and Ohio. If he takes back Florida, it's over. It's pretty much over right now anyway.
The popular vote is just way too close though. Scary. |
