...plus it was funny to see every gino going nuts over every track like its the best thing they've heard (probably seeing him for the first time).

TIESTO!! U use to be AMAZING, and it was a pleasure listening to ur
sets, but honestly, u don't have it anymore dude.

maybe, release another nice trance album/compliation and we'll see

sorry, just my opinion.

...now I know where all the Tiesto hatred comes from lol

like another isos? :P

I think it is becomming like the economy, no one wants to officially say we are in a recession, as much as people aren't admiting trance is not alive and well, or at least it wasn't in 2008.

i'm sorry to have to say it but circa is a beautiful venue but the crowd itself is going to ruin any party...

i wasn't there last night so i can't comment on this party...

i'm still pissed that they booked the martinez brothers..in the main room of all places...grrrrrr....

circa is a pretty nice club but the guv will always be the best

Some tracks he played were amazing... the crowd was annoying as heck, a bunch of ginos/ginas, hardly any room to dance, I left early.
And what the hell is it with people taking pictures with their cellphones??? Do pictures even show up? I doubt it so that's completely pointless.

Total disappointment... wow! I was expecting SO much more from him. If he played that same set at the guv (without the z103 crowd), this thread would be a "REVIEW: TIESTO OFFICIALLY SUX" thread. To be completely honest (and yes i am a little bit in denial), it seems like every single time i see him, he plays worse and worse. Don't get me wrong, i love his songs and his compilations... that's why i keep giving him another chnace, but for some reason, the ing guy can't play a decent set anymore!
He played a few good tracks but definitely no classics. The crowd was exactly what i expected... i kept getting poked by hardened gel spikes from the ginos' hair. No room to REALLY dance, but that okay considering the set wasn't doing anything for me anyway.
All in all, it was an okay night, but i think the next time he comes, i'll think twice about going.
Highlight of the night - Wippenberg "CHAKALAKA"! :D

nice seeing everyone again, and nice meeting your gf kris!

I personally had a lot of fun. Then again, I did have a VIP booth with bottle service with my friends, so there was plenty of room to dance. I didn't have to deal with any of the annoying crowd. Only thing that was bad about last night was there were 2 gay guys grinding it up in front of our booth for a bit which was really disturbing.

well i had a great time last night lots of room to dance since we had the bottle service and booth so i cant complain as for circa being the right choice for tiesto.. um i dont think it was the right venue for this .. i give it 8/10 was expecting to hear some old tiesto classics but thats okay your not always going to hear what you really want so.
as far as people saying tiesto sucks tiesto this ginos that i hate tiesto blah blah. my question is this to you .. why do you go? you think tiesto cares or needs you to go it was allready sold out so if you went or not those tickets could of been sold so either way tiesto will always rock toronto when he comes down and your still going to go and still say tiesto sucks you know this and i know this.

lol thx for ur txt, Tamar! :) I really didn't wish I was there this time around, although I have yet to experience Circa. I love Tiesto's podcasts; he keeps putting out mixes that I really enjoy up till today. The sound has definitely changed to cater to the mainstream but I belong to that category and am unashamed to admit it so it's all good. But it will take a heck of a lot to get me into a nightclub now, i.e. GARETH EMERY and MENNO DE JONG, bitches!!! :disbelief

Last night was a perfect example as to why I have given up on this genre. After hearing that the lineup was getting nasty very early on in the night I decided to head downtown and arrived around 9:45 which was absurd and easily the earliest night in my entire clubbing career. Lineup was dead when I arrived and I got in within minutes. This was probably the best part of the night for me. I wandered around endlessly getting a better feel for the "mall". After getting acquainted with the environment and where some good spots would be to dance I headed down to the mainfloor and busted a move for a solid 30 minutes. Easily the best tunes of the night were being dropped early on. There was indeed no flow whatsoever for the opening DJ but he definately was throwing down some killer tracks. Met up with a few friends, went for a smoke and then headed back to mainroom. From about 10:30pm and on I witnessed the club fill up from head to toe. Carl Cox was slammed and rammed, but this was beyond comprehension.

Getting there as early as I did I knew I was in for a long night and knew I wouldn't be able to keep my energy up unless Tieto was killin' it. Unfortunately his set was worse than a rollercoaster with such random tunes being played all over. He started off with quite a few vocal tunes to warm up the crowd. Of course he could have thrown down anything and the fanboys would have eaten it up. BTW I could not even fathom how many I <3 Tiesto shirts I saw on that night; I wanted to throw up. Anyways, I ended up on the 3rd floor where I met up with Kris, Veronica (Happy B-Day -- just realized it was today:), jsibilin (good to meet you), Oz, Tanya and friends. Good to see you all out but I just wasn't enjoying myself one bit. I said my goodbyes around 3:15am but I ended up wandering until 4am just to see if I he was going to pick up his set within the last hour, but disappointment continued. I bailed at 4am with a smile on my face knowing that I can now cross Tiesto off the list of DJ's to see and possibly add him to the list of DJ's to never see again. All in all he played a few good tracks here and there but there was no flow or consistancy. Above all I was disappointed I didn't hear his signature sound from back in the day, or atleast some if it. I must say I was pretty happy to hear him throw down his remix of Justin Timberlake - Lovestoned.

Anyways, good to see friends and TA's out in full force.

Track Selection - 5.5/10
Flow - 4/10
Vibe - 3/10
Mixing - 6.5/10
Friends & TAs - 11/10
