Judging by the smiley, there was a joke in there somewhere. As I fail to see the joke, or to find it funny - I'll just reply by saying that 'Go Dogs' was intended as a statement of solidarity to the Hamilton Bulldogs AHL team.
Now that we have that out of the way, what's with the smiley? |

Actually, it's one of our two national sports. Years ago the government decided that Hockey was Canada's National Winter Sport and Lacrosse was Canada's National Summer Sport. |

i just figured you were a leafs fan. :p:p
@Abercrombie.
Up until 1994, it was Lacrosse. Today it has TWO. The National Sports of Canada Act recognizes Lacrosse as the country's national summer sport and Ice Hockey as the national winter sport.
edit: beat me to it, but i mentioned the national sports act and the year:p |

it won't happen for the stanley cup, but since the advent of the european champions league i can easily see both champions facing each other in play for another title in the very near future. |
If the NHL created its own league, which would probably include the teams from the european champions league, then I think the winner between the two divisions of the NHL would get the stanley cup.
I really like the idea of having European and North American Divisions. It might be an opportunity for owners of failing franchises to relocate to better markets in Europe. |
