Done this once and the only thing that really started to bother me was seeing her every-god-damn-day. It got pretty annoying. However, it should be noted that this was just a job that I could have really cared less about.
So I guess if you're not so serious about your job and you can stand to see her/him everyday, or however often it is you work, then go for it. |

there are 65,000 employee's that work for my company.. so getting involved with someone in the company wouldn't be a big deal.
as for getting involved with someone in my actual office though... NOT A ING CHANCE. There's a saying.. don't where you eat. I take that to heart.
Now.. if we're talking about getting involved with someone in the nightlife industry.. that's a little differnt. |

yeah....well i used to work at Canada's Wonderland as a manager, and got involved with one of managers in a different department, but one that i did interact with sometimes...was going really well until i found out she had slept with my boss...pretty much the definition of awkward, didn't work there much longer after that and went on a trip to europe to get away from that nightmare. should have known when in my interview my boss kept asking questions about her.
a few interesting girls where i work now, but definitely learned my lesson to stay away. if it doesn't work out you are screwed and its so hard to recover when you see them every day. |

I would agree that if its a career job you don't want to get involved with someone at work.
Although, I know someone who got involved withsome at work but they worked on different floors and their paths don't normally cross at work so it was never a real problem. When they were dating they would spend lunches together and walk to the GO Train together but when they broke up they only saw each other the odd time in the elevator. |
