i think if the event isnt posted by a promoter then someone else can/should. once the relevant info is avail and is posted then delete the non-promoters thread. so basically what is going on right now. lol that got me nowhere |
Agreed. As far as I know, the event forum and TA in general is not here to facilitate the timing of clubs' advertising strategies. It is for people in the dance music community to communicate and share information.

Circa is doing just fine with their existing promo strategy, properly posted events or not.
Clearly TA is not the make-it-or-break-it market. *gasp* |
Perhaps, but simply including the name of one of the headliners in the title of a thread that's going to be posted anyway costs nothing and could potentially provide many benefits. |

This thread isn't about Circa needing promotion though.
This is "I'm too lazy to open every event thread but so I'm going to blame circa for not making it easier for me" |

lol do you seriously open every event thread?
i open probably 20% that i think might potentially be interesting. Posting a name of the dj that is playing anyway is not a very hard thing to do and in the end is benificial for the promoter/club. While its not a huge problem with me since i check out the events regularly it would be nice if everyone could see the djs that play at circa.
I'm going to assume that the person who posts events here is not an actual promoter but a person employed by the club to post events online (marketing) and they dont give a how it ends up looking since they don't deal with the actual gueslist. |

No, it's not about needing promotion. I was specifically disagreeing with your post that implyed that there is little use in putting the DJ name in the thread title on TA. |

You missed the point of my post - I didn't say it wouldn't provide any benefits.
I said they're doing just fine regardless of how they post an event thread. Wouldn't you agree? |
