Why don't you play the ID Contest?

Yes, the TA ID contest.
Probably not a thread I'd make if I weren't running it, but participation has been pitifully low for a round I tried to make as accessible as possible. The usual excuses I hear are: I wouldn't do well enough, other people are too good, and I don't have time. The third excuse is pretty valid, but the other two aren't. With roughly 10 days left, I have 5 participants, none of which have acquired a third of the points. A lot of the good players have 'retired', so to speak, leaving a small group of regular players whose scores range from piteous to acceptable. The leader is a oft-posting COR member. If your excuse is you hate doing something for nothing, I've even offered a prize to the winner this round.
So, why not give it a go? It's a fun way to spend some time and you might discover a new song or two you enjoy. The thread is accessible in the Music Discussion forum; here's a direct link if you're that lazy:

I'd hate to see this tradition die out due to lack of interest as I've been exposed to a lot of good music through this contest and I'm sure others have too. If you have some time, head over to the MD and join the game! |

Oi this looks fun, I wish i had more time lately :(
Just listened through really quick and its funny, most I really don't know but the ones I do recognize at all i could name within the first few seconds (4, 6, 11, 13, 27, 29, 35, 36, 46 (choooooon), 48, 59, 65, 71, 75)
Note: i think one of those is electronica :p I'd be great on a team with someone who knew edm at all, cause god i really don't :p
and there's a few i'm going to be looking for when the results are up cause i really want to know what a few of these are :p |

Contest runs till the end of the month so if you find yourself with some time, why not throw an entry in?
This is what I'm talking about though. If a person knows 10 of the songs, they're easily in a position to work your way up the list. I'd love to figure out how to make the whole thing better or more accessible to the average person. Maybe I' targeting the wrong audience for that info |

I used to take part, but stopped due to connection problems at my old accomodation making the download a huge pain in the arse. Just never got round to playing again. I always used to finish around the lower middle of the points table anyway, hardly an encouraging performance.
I might give this one a go. |

the id contest was too hard for me, but dont take this is a real answer becasue im not an ID champion like some of the people here. |
