What is this hate people have with itunes? What does the player have to do with the music? A player plays my song, I hear it, I'm happy.

I think most people hate it more for the DRM issues than anything.

Today's iTunes is like yesterday's Real Audio. It's not just a media player, it wants to take over your computer and burn your house down.

the fact i have to install a program in order to purchase music is pretty damn gay.

and for playing music, winamp is infinitely superior and doesn't round with my files.

It seems like you have no other choice, but make sure uninstall this piece of garbage after you are done.

I had to reinstall Windows a couple of days ago. When I was done installing I plugged in my iPod so the battery could be charged. The computer could not recoginze it so I installed iTunes. After installation was completed iTunes started to delete all my apps in my iPod Touch without prompting me first. After it finished doing this it prompted me to authorize the computer (for the 5th and last time) if I wanted to upload the apps back into the iPod.

I later found out that I could download the apps directly from the app store, but not after first wishing that Steve Blow Jobs gets testicular cancer and is castrated.
