what about when the scoutmaster joins you in your tent :eyes:

personally I believe in clothes. due to astronomical costs, i keep my heating at 17c mostly, 18c if it's really cold and just wear 2-3 layers of clothes minimum & use a hot water bottle on the really cold nights.

so here's the situation. my heat doesn't work very well. i mean, it works sometimes... but i have to go up to my attic at least twice every night to reset the furnace to get it to work. this has been going on for several weeks now and it's only getting colder.

the problem is, i like my landlord a lot. i don't want to get bitchy but i'm sick of dealing with this. he's been over here at least several times per week trying to fix it himself, but it hasn't gotten any better.

what can i do?

Sorry, I misread your post at first and thought you were referring to your heart!
Then I was like wtf? lol
My bad, it actually makes perfect sense.

its your landlord's job to fix when its broken. hands down. unless in your lease it says, "i don't give a about my tenants, so them when breaks"

time for your landlord to pony up
Lira
Keep giving him icicles, and tell him you made them yourself, thanks to the temperature of your apartment. It's a good way to tell him you're freezing, and he's bound to understand sooner or later that he cannot fix it (although you too should tell him that).
Capitalizt
Tell that ass to fix it. In the mean time, get a couple of those $20 portable heaters at Wal-Mart. They are good for heating up small rooms, especially bedrooms with the door closed. You should also stuff sponge or toilet paper all across your window cracks to seal out cold air that leaks in.

Furnace is most important though.

SkyHigh
next time your rent is due just tell him you will leave it on top of a working furnace. :)

I have awesome landlords too, and I used to feel the same way about asking them to do stuff. But then I realized the reason they're so awesome is because they get done when I have a problem. So yeah, the point is: it's your landlord's job to fix your ; therefore, he/she expects you to call when there's a problem and you shouldn't feel like you're being bitchy.
