anyone with sensitive skin can get a rash from anything. i have an allergy to metals so even if i wear platinum & diamonds, i'll still get an irritated spot on my neck that itches...same with perfume. she could just say it's dust or some crap. tell him she has allergies and going up there really gets her weezing or something

*shrugs*

and mine wasn't passive/aggressive because it really happened. i just threw it in there to add insult to injury. it was more like, "look mother******s, now its' starting to cost me doctor visits, don't make me deduct what i paid at the doctor from my rent" type of thing lol

Ask him nicely. If he says no... well you probably won't like him anymore. :p

negotiate. tell your landlord that you will seek help from a third party & you will deduct the cost of the reparation by subtracting it from the up coming rent. Tell him that you can also deduct +25% of the cost, from every month until you recover all of your money.

Deducting it from the rent = recovered all the money. So then no +25% per month.

lol I meant 25% of the costs off from next month's rent = twenty-five percent OR a greater deduction

OR

Blowjob for free rent.

It's all about the choices that you make...

if you want to go the passive/aggressive route then make up a story about how every time you go up in the attick you get this itchy rash on your skin and you must be allergic to something up there and you had to go to the dermatologist to get steroids and cream which cost you money (copay). just be like, "this is REALLY becomming a problem now, it has to be fixed i can't go up there any more"

This is a good idea.

A couple of years ago, we had heat problems in our apartment at school and we were too lazy to actually call anyone (usually when they're going to come fix stuff, someone has to be there and all of us were too busy to actually stay in the apartment all day, waiting...) and after like a month or two of no heat, I ended up with strep throat and mono which wiped me out for 3 months and somehow I think if you're too cold maybe your immune system weakens...

Prolly not, but I always wondered if it could be related.

So I guess the point of my post is it might not be healthy to have a broken heater...
