| Amazing night, but with Markus it always is for me :toocool: It was nice to see some familiar faces again. I hope he comes back to SF more than about twice a year going forward. |

Great night. Thanks everyone!
I lost it when he played Solid Globe - North Pole... it was the first vinyl I bought, and therefore one of the ones I remember the most, so I knew it was coming in, and I knew every count, started "singing" along too... Fun as hell
I do have to mention that the front door guy is an ass clown. I got there around 11:30, and the Will Call line was longer, and slower moving than the GA line. He took his sweet time all night, we ended up waiting outside for 30 minutes, didn't get in till 12:10. Should have just gone GA, it was $25 at the door, and I ended up paying $28 a ticket after ticketweb's greedy fee. I have never had this problem at RS before, whats the deal?
As we were leaving I got to cameo for a TA shot upstairs by the smoke room. I think that was 2tall who was the camera man. Where's the pics yo? |

| another great turnout, even my friend whose never been to a torq said 'wow you're right, those kids out there do have a lot of energy!' i was kind of disappointed in markus' set being that i've always always enjoyed the darker, proggier, techier side of his music and that simply wasn't there last night, but i don't fault him for playing to the crowd because it worked. the fact that i was at a kontrol party earlier in the day or that i was more tired than i've ever been in my life walking into the club last night probably had an effect on my outlook too. it was nice to unwind with some of the faces i didn't get to see on nye though. i regret missing the openers of the night, but at 11pm i'd just gotten home and was in my bed--and was just barely swayed to change my mind about it! :toothless |

Great night guys, I am not so sure that I like the 18+ parties, feels like there are so many limitations in the club to what can be done and the kids sure love to smoke weed, the dance floor stanked like some good weed, or maybe a skunk was hidden somewhere.. :conf:
Please spundae next time Markus is in town make it on a Sunday or Weekday but only for 21+ the crowd is better, for whatever reason yesterday Ruby Skye felt weird, the crowd was full of :clown:
it felt even worst than the "regulars" on Friday/Saturday.. Atleast those nights the people bumping into you are drunk and not just idiots standing in the dance floor.
Anyways good set by Markus!
I am not sure what "energy" people are refering too but I did not see much energy from the crowd, many people just standing around.
My Expectations were SET VERY HIGH as last time I saw Markus at Ruby Skye on JULY 3, 2007 HE DESTROYED the place and he had everyone dancing from the balcony down to the first floor... CAN'T EVEN GET THAT DAY OUT OF MY HEAD, BEST NIGHT!!!!
TORQ good luck with your parties! |

I am not sure why Ruby Skye changed their method of letting people in, before if you had presale you would just walk in, now if you have hard tickets/eTicket you MUST wait in the GENERAL ADMISSION LINE, If you have Will Call you must wait in the "Will Call/Guest List" line and be there for ever.....
This is my biggest complaint with the club.. no more easy way to get in :( |

Last night was ing dope. :eyespop: Markus was on fire. I'm glad he played harder than usual. I like his vocal stuff but he is so good when he plays hard, hammertime all night    :whip:
I didn't get any sleep on Thursday but had no trouble going nuts all night thanks to the music, the energetic crowd and the hot girls. Upstairs was good too, wish they could put a larger speaker system in there, its too big of a room to not have a larger system. Is it because of the open windows?
I hope it becomes a tradition to bring in big headliners on day one! Definitely one of my more favorite sets from Markus. |

and was that the sub that was going on and off, overheating or something? if so, that does make all the difference upstairs.. |
