| Its got to be the Dance4life album (http://dance4life.trackitdown.net/) as not only does it contain some wicked exclusive dance tracks from the likes of Tiesto, but its all for an amazing charity that helps to fight HIV and AIDS through dance music! |

I'm not one to usually buy entire albums. I tend to get sick of the same producer pumping out the same sound for 13 tracks, especially since most of which have been released as singles/club mixes. That said my favorites this year have been:
Hercules & Love Affair - Hercules & Love Affair (talk about a kick in the face, fresh music for sure)
Lee Jones - Electronic Frank
The Mole - As High As The Sky
Minilogue - Animals
MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
Radiohead - In Rainbows (was that 2008?) |

After buying it, I was totally blown away by Shed's album.
Shed - Shedding the Past is released on Berghain's Ostgut Ton label and it has the most forward thinking techno singles in an album for 2008. |
