Ok maybee i am sticking up for tiesto a little too much...I just thought, Why didnt he do the mixing again in the studio rather than live..doing it live was pointless, you cant even hear the crowd....Im pretty puzzled actually....If he done the mixing in the studio he would have had perfection..

| yeah I agree... He should eithter have recorded it on a comp, OR record it live with audible audience...that would have been killer! like some of the magik albums :cool: |

Recording it on the computer is pathetic....Thats taking the whole fun out of it...and its cheating....Fair dues he should have recorded it again on technics but on his computer...???:conf: :conf: I dont think a CD has ever been mixed by computer...Thats stupid...:(:( |

btw I think the "cheating" argument is BS (IMHO), it isn't a game or something, it's about the music, If a DJ can produce a better album by using computer tools he should! (Note that I'm specifically talking about albums, not 'club' performances.)
I gave the album two good listens today (on the way to and from school), and I must say, I have to adjust my opinion a bit. The mixing is so...amateur! Maybe one or two transitions in the set are 'good', but the rest :eek: :( I'm a the point that I'm beginning to believe this promo isn't the real thing. Either that or tiesto just doesn't take his audience seriously. I mean, that many (some are small but still) errors / screw ups, you'd think he'd take use of re-recording it before finally releasing ... I can't believe all of you guys say it's so great etc... :conf:

It's been over 18 months since Tiësto released In Search Of Sunrise 2. After the release of his artist album In My Memory, and his extensive travels and tours around the world, he has selected his best tour records, and has added some of the most beautiful gems in electronic music today.
Included is Tiësto's warm remix from Paul Oakenfold's Southern Sun, and the future hitsingle Summer Calling by Andain, Josh Gabriels new band. Other favourites are DJ Hooligan "Hear You Now", Starecase "Faith" and the classic Nalin & Kane "Open Your Eyes". Of course the mixing is flawless, and that summer vibe is back again. Bring it on!

Oh and before you reply with "if you don't like it sod off!", or "why do you even bother posting so much (negative) criticism"... that is because I really like tiesto, as a DJ an a producer. I loved ISOS 1 and 2, and was looking forward to this one... but I'm disappointed

Yes i have you cheeky little bastard infact i got about 10 Global Underground CDs....Every single one i got is don on turntables...No computer what so ever...Read inside the booklets you little punk :D
You obviously dont know alot about musis and how things work so how the dare you say Tiesto sounds like a amatuer in isos3....What a fag...Now clear off before you sound even more like a twat..Come on give your head a shake....Let this thread be used for people to comment on how good the CD is rather than uneducated boys like your self hammering the mixing skills of some-one is a world class producer and DJ.........

I love the CD.
I personally can't see much wrong with it. There are worse mixed CD's than this one.
I would love tiesto to do another double mix CD. That would be good :D |

Your solid argumentation has helped me change my mind and see the truth :) Instead of judgind the cd by it's quality, his mixing skills and trackselection, i decided to try your approach: I took a look at the filename and saw the light.... it's tiesto so it MUST BE GOOD!
P.S. don't tell me what I can / can't say on these boards. twat :eek: |
