Got to see him live last night in some little hole down here in panama that was packed like nothing i have ever been in before. He did not play any of his productions which to me was bull, why else would i see him right? and his set was mostly hard-house crap, which i personaly dont like... his mixxing skills were pretty good, but after 2 hours it was just way to repetitive for my taste. Seeing tiesto a couple weeks earlier, then seeing picotto after is just lame. Tiesto owns. :D

***so, what im really trying to get at here is, if any of you lamers have seen picotto, do you think he is overatted, or am i just a to critical?

You should take my attitude....Tiesto is God...And who the is Picotto :)

Definitely techno :)

picotto just has two 'different faces'.......

he produces commercial crap, to earn loads of money
and
he produces quality techno trax, because, i guess he likes techno :D

he is also capable of spinning great techno sets with great records in it and because he's got good mixing skills
but
i guess, when he has to play before a crowd he thinks they dont like his techno songs, he'll play his commercial crap tunes... so just bad luck to you..

Yeah, what has been up with Picotto lately...he hasn't been on top of his game.

Tiesto is God

I'm so ing sick of hearing people bend over for Tiesto and treat him as a deity. His mixing just plainly sucks big fat goat nuts...I'm sorry, but I truly do feel that I can pull off some more creative and better transitions half assing on the decks than Tiesto can. As a producer, Tiesto is on top of his game...probably the hottest one right now, but as a DJ, IMO, he is seriouisly, way way overrated.
I saw him live, and the only thing that saved his ass was his track selection(which at times can be mediocre as well).
Tiesto is God...the he is. Picotto is a much much better DJ...hands down.

i second that =p

90% of all the "big" techno dj's are soooooooooooooooooo much better in djing than ANY trance dj

trance = no skill compared to techno

2 dexx vs 3-4-5-6 dexx =P

øhhhh

techno > trance

:D

i think you are being a little hard on Tiesto, but I agree that his talent as a producer exceeds hs talent as a DJ.

Hard house? Picotto? What?

Find me a single hard house set on Audiogalaxy from him. I'll even go out on a limb and say find me a set from him that contains a single hard house tune. It would surprise me if you could.

He produced cheesy chill-out stuff...about 5 years ago. All his latest stuff like Bangkok, Baguette, Awesome etc are tech trance and techno, and he spins fairly hard techno, but depending on the crowd might drop some slightly more familiar techno tunes like "Dariush - Ira", "Umek - Gatex", or Marco Zaffarano stuff. When he played in Newcastle he was brilliant, his set started off with the above mentioned tracks then progressed onto what sounded like Chris Liebing stuff. I'm fairly new to techno and I was very mashed, but I know it was hard!
