Im new to the single malt scene as well. Was a vodka drinker till about 6 months ago. Was looking to try the Glenlivet and Glenfiddich 18 year olds but il pick up a bottle of the 12 if you compare it to those ultra premiums.
I havent tried to many but my roomie whose been a scotch drinker for years highly recommended the Aberlour A'Bunadh. Its a cask strength malt so i reckon its going to have a high alcohol content (Around 55%) |

If I drink Vodka, I mostly have Stoli. Mostly. I dunno, I think it's pretty good  Not too expensive, either. I don't drink it straight though, usually with cranberry juice or lime and soda. |

I prefer it eitherway, usually start with it mixed, but by the end of a big night I am usually whoring a fifth to myself... :nervous: |
