A Victim is simply massive. |
I know he's got the back catalogue to pull it off, my argument is, if he wants to do a mix with only his own production then why not do it as a live set so he can mix it up a little. Just mixing his own records together seems a little lazy to me.
I'll reserve judgement til i hear it tho.. |

nice! i'm looking forward to checking this out.
but, i can't help but dislike the ignorance of "the crowd" who jump on good sounds because theyre getting some wider reconition, through, for example, the fabric mix cd series. i was in a hmv music shop a while ago when a group of people near me picked up robert hood's fabric cd; one said that "i've heard that this mix is supposed to be really good" - and then proceeded to the checkout with it. call me elitist but do you get my point? |
I don't. People heard the CD was supposed to be good, so they listened to it. What's the problem? |

producing your own records is lazier than digging in crates for other peoples?

Personally I have issue with someone using a mix cd platform to essentially put out an artist album. That said, is that what Omar S's live sets are? I've never heard a set from him. |

Where did I say that?
I said I would prefer if he done it as a live mix instead of a dj mix using his own records, there is a difference. |

| Read the interview, he doesn't buy records anymore and generally doesn't give a crap about other music that's out there. It's not self-promotion, this is just how he does it. |
