+1, people are underestimating his drawing power. You're all forgetting that he sold out weeknights at Crobar 2 years ago, 3 nights in a row at Webster Hall, has had a successful Summerstage party on a Wednesday, not to mention Hammerstein Ballroom and Roseland Ballroom, or selling out at some rinky-dink place in the Hamptons. Anyone with any business sense would be dumb not to step it up to the next big thing. I think he could draw 8-9,000 New Yorkers easily. Add some out-of-towners from Philly, south Jersey, Boston, and beyond, and you have your 15,000.

I know that I would definitely come up from DC for this. Seeing him outdoors at love back in September 2007 was freaking *amazing*!!!! And that was like 8,000+ people. Can't wait to get more info on this, I'll definitely be up there for it.

yea now that i think about it 15,000 people is a lil too much
dont get me wrong tiesto is big but i dunno about that big
but then again trance is on its way up in the states imo
so we will have to see
as for a venue mccarren park is actually being turned back into a pool so thats out
only place i can think of is maybe randalls island
if its not there then i dunno
and if it really is a "tiesto in concert" i think this will be the first one thats outdoors? so it should be interesting
if there gonna label it tiesto in concert i want atleast a 6 hour set

oh yea rob my fathers, brothers, nephews, cousins former roomate actually told me its gonna be at citifield not yankee stadium :haha:

in europe he can do that in a weeks notice without a problem

in the states it will be a lil tougher, but armin just did a huge new years concert, tiesto did like 4 to 5 thousand at roseland new years eve
over the weekend stoneface and terminal brought in a great crowd at love
so yea i hope the trance scene in ny stays where its at
iam more interested in the venue and his set time at this point
the amount of people dont phase me

TAO or Armin only as its been called, has that many people EVERY YEAR, not matter who plays...its ALL AGES....and SoCal is crazy with kids into trance...i used to be a part of that scene...so thats not anything special really....switch artists and its the same result....and we arent talking about a few weeks time...we talking 9 months!

I remember being on line to enter Webster on the Wednesday night when Tiesto was playing, at least 5 different random people were walking up to me and my friends asking who was playing. After we told them, "Tiesto", all of them were like "damn, I didn't know he was coming into the city!".

And these are just random ass people walking around, so IMO if they get the word out 15 k+ is easy.

its about time! been thinking about this since last year at armins McCarren pool on how Tiesto would of had the pool filled not with water of course.

i can see 15,000 if this happens.

come on its tiesto in nYC he always sells out its ridiculous.

if you book him, they will come!

i wonder the venue. hmmmmmmmmm
