LOVE the 80s vibe of "The Doors..."
Surrender, Future Perfect and Ultraviolet are some of my other picks.
Only qualm is that whoever mastered these seemed to have applied almost the same dynamics to every track.
They all seem to have this thickness at the low end, which on some tracks are good, but on others it seems to overshadow the brightness of the track.
According to my digital album booklet it was "Mastered by Robert Babicz @ Robacidmastering".

all inn all a very good and enjoyable album. No weak tracks but at the same time I dont feel that any of them can fully live up the the level of some of their previous classics. But maybe I just have to let them grow on me a bit more... Surrender, Future Perfect, Pleasure Control and Ultraviolet are my faves at least. 4.5/5

Anyone looking forward to this? It should be worth a listen.

I am a big fan of Hope Recordings it is amazing what Nick has done with his business. I am especially impressed with John Tejada's instrumental rmx of "Only Love"--great in the sun having drinks on my boat track!! The beat in his rmx is hotter than the vocals, thats my opinion---Either way solid outfit

Can I please get bodymotion without the vocals. This is a prime example of a vocal loop destroying an otherwise beautiful track.
All in all its a worthy successor to the previous WoW albums. In a good old Wow fashion, after listening to the new album ~5 times, I've been finding new stuff & details every time and I'm sure it will continue for a long time :)

I think "Pleasure Control" exemplifies this quite well...it's quite thick in the midrange, not so much in the upper freq range. Rob Acid is a sound designer himself and I guess it goes to show that even mastering can be influenced by artistic intent/direction.
Ah, I hear some compositional similarities, yes...fortunately, "UltraViolet" first surfaced in 2007 (as "Jupiter") so it can't be construed as a case of plagiarism. ;)
Oh, if any non-Itunes user wants to hear the bonus track, "Sparkle," in full, click here: http://www.hybridized.org/sets/736. I'm still hoping they make it available as a bonus download to us deluxe purchasers.

There's a few well known samples in there.
Check out the rhodes piano at the end of this track 2.50 onwards ;)

bloody hell, ok, I could give a pass on the well-documented Marrs sample but that Rhodes action is too much! Thanks for the elusive find.

It's not uncommon though.

Indeed but on a microcosmic scale of this track, it's a little too much after the MARRS percussive sampling to discover another major compositional element was nicked. I love me some quality Rhodes implementation. I have to say they certainly made it their own in the context of "Only Love."
