I think they're just getting super anal now since (and I guess lucky for a lot of people who don't have their passports) they are starting the mandatory passport to cross the Can/US border starting June 1st, so I expect them to be lubing people up nice and good for the next few weeks. They're dense as all tho...which is scary actually!

Last year I took the tunnel bus and when I got to the front of the line to talk to the customs officer and it went like this...

US Customs - Citizenship?
Me - Canadian
US Customs - Ever been arrested?
Me - No sir
US Customs - What is the purpose of your visit to the United States of America today?
Me - DEMF sir
US Customs - What?
Me - DEMF, Detroit Electronic Music Festival
US Customs - Detroit WHAT?
Me - Electronic Music Fetival sir, it was Saturday, Sunday and finishes today... It's at Hart Plaza
US Customs - I ain't heard of no music festival
Me - *thinking how in the is it monday and this guy claims to have no knowledge of any music festival when literally thousands of people have been over the past few days from Windsor, going to DEMD, hell the people in FRONT of me in line said they were goign to DEMF*
US Customs - I'm FROM Detroit, you'd think i'd hear about any music festival
Me - *listens to the rather loud echo and reverb just behind me from the festival lierally 500 meters maybe less away from me going "unce unce unce unce unce" wondering if this guy is just winding me up* Ummm well, it happens every year sir.
US Customs - Bringing anything in?
Me - Nope...
US Customs - Have a good day...
Me - *WTF?*

That's almost how ours went except after we told him what DEMF was, we got ushered into another, faster moving line. We were like "Sweet, we're getting preferential treatment!!!!"

Hahahahahahaha. Yeah. :/

Not going to lie, I'm a little scurred of crossing the border each afternoon and night... I know it's late, but we're thinking about grabbing a room somewhere in the D now for at least one of the nights (Sunday probably)... even if there is no reason for them to get me in trouble, i'm sure they'll find one!
Silky Johnson
Well if you don't have anything on you, a.k.a., aren't stupid, then why worry? The only pain is the time it takes away from the journey, but really...the less you let it bother you the quicker you can move on with your day. It's some weird catch-22 sorta dealy.

Ohhh HEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLL no, I wouldn't have sweet all on me! Like i'd chance gang rape in an american prison over some small little tiny thing like that!

I'm not so much paranoid about the tunnel bus, so much, but if we drive over... the tunnel buses finish around 1:40 AM I think the last one leave Detroit. I know around DEMF time they try to never leave anyone over, if there is still people waiting after the last bus leaves, they'll send over another one till they get them all. But I know I wouldn't mind hitting up a few aferparties on at least one of the nights and don't want to drive back those nights. And if I don't drive, but someone else does, well, I can gaurantee I dont' act stupid, but I can't gaurantee others... know what I mean?

Your're right tho, just forget about it and go with the flow and dont't be stupid and it'll be fine... it's fine, it'll be OOOOK! Just probably over thinking it...

YAH DEMF! Can't wait!

Thinking abour bringing a bag this year tho, avoid bulky and stuffed pockets of smokes, camera, lighter, phone, keys, water etc...
Silky Johnson
Bag is key! I loooooooooove my hipsack for that. In fact I'd like to get a new one. Hmmmmmm.
DJ Mach X
A mens european carryall?! One of those side bags would be dope, nothing too big tho...

So, just wondering if anyone else is game for this:

Myself, Nata, and Phatcat are all raving it up one day (Sunday) and wearing tutus and knee socks and ...like ravey ballerinas. And I was just talking to Graham, who is game for raving it up as well.

So my question to you all is, do you want to rave it up with us? It would be cool if we had guys and girls uniforms. Girls would be like us: tutus (which we ordered from Amazon) with booty shorts underneath, with knee socks or thigh highs and tank tops/wife beaters

I suggested to Graham to wear old school like tennis shorts with knee socks as well, and obviously some rave type shirt...and (at his suggestion) suspenders! So the guys could do that.

What do you think? I think it would be ing fun. If you don't like the uniform idea/think it's too much hassle, you could just do your own thing...but come on, matching is way cooler.

RAVERAVERAVE

Katy, Larissa and I were going to do a Robert Palmer-esque white shirt, black tie and tight black skirt as our uniform but it, tutus are where it's at. I will try and recruit them today!
