Xone 92 vs. DJM 800 vs. Ecler Evo 4

I know everyone loves the Xone, but I'm having a hard time deciding what to get. I spin Trance, House and Techno in my room and some house parties. I use Torq with cdj 800's.
Xone: Probably the best mixer out of the group. Not sure how I feel about the 4 EQs (I'm sure I'll learn to love them). Also, no effects, but I have Torq that could solve that problem, however, Xone midi sucks.
DJM 800: We all know about this one. Would be nice to learn on the "industry standard" if I start djing out. Good midi, effects, etc. Not as good as the Xone or Ecler.
Ecler Evo 4: Basically has it all. But is probably the most expensive. I think I can get the DJM and Xone for close to $1300 new, Ecler is more like $1450.
The Xone and Evo are the best, but for some reason I feel like I should just play it safe and get the DJM800 :conf: |

everybody is gonna tell you something different here. personally, all I can do is assume you're someone who wants midi, fx, and the best sound quality. in which case I would recommend the evo4 ahead of the xone and way ahead of the djm-800.
to me, the djm-800's filter curves are really sharp and the sound is just too "harsh" and digital and "perfect." That is, I like my sound to have some analog coloring in it, which is why the xones are so popular (that and the 4band eq's you mentioned). The xones are great, but not terribly conducive to spinning a lot of different genres.
with the evo4, you get two really dope fx processors with 2 lcd screens, 4 channels + of midi, and ecler sound which I think is just as good if not better than the xone. I have an evo5 and love it, but its probably overkill for what you're doing. I did play with an evo4 last year in miami and it was fantastic though. super easy to pick up, tons of fx possibilities, full eq kills, and a good balance between analog and digital. in other words, more future proof than the xone or djm.
good luck =) |

Thanks for the input. I wish I could pick up a used one or something to get a small break on the price, but hardly anyone has it. Kind of another reason why I'm a little hesitant.
I'm just too indecisive, so I need someone to sway me :o |

I do, but I was talking more like the roll effect and crap like that. Even though the only effects I really use are filters and flangers, I'd like to have things to play with though :) |

i had this problem before..
I choosed to go with djm800 because it has efx inbuilt, and it has the best digital sound, good build quality and there is a reason why it is world-wide standard together with xone 92.
I would have gone with an xone if their send return function wasnt so stupid.. But im happy, really happy. DJM-800 is a very good mixer, people that only bash it down dont know how good this thing really is.
This mixer is for all styles: progg, house, trance, techno, you name it. |

I dont personally hate the 800, but the people who hate it around here has most likely used both extensively.
Effects are gimmicky.. the only one thats semi good is the roll feature. |

I actually use one as my home mixer. Yeah, yeah, laugh all you want. It was the first mixer I ever bought, which was 5 years ago. It's still working just fine, and if I can make a good mix on that pile of crap, I can make a good mix on anything :)
Best $150 I've ever spent. |
