The thing that makes the virus what it is, is itīs effects. Those are quite revealing,
especially the phaser.
That said, IMHO the vst that comes the closest in terms of sound is the zebra2.
Itīs my all time favourite vst synth. I see zeta was mentioned earlier here, but that has a totally different
character IMO. Way more brittle sounding. More like a nord (IMO). |

Reaktor 5 is a modular soft synth - that's not similar to a Virus at all. It looks you guys are just throwing out the names of your favorite synths now (like that hasn't been done a million times already) without even comparing them to a Virus??? |
