| I've never been to DEMF but want to go. Have any you been to both DEMF & WMC/Ultra? What are the differences? |

So the DEMF is all Techno? Is the crowd all die-hard tech-headz?
That is a good vibe. Masses of people all dedicated to the music. WMC is a carnival. People are there for all different kinds of reasons. A small percentage are there for the music. The rest are there to be seen. |

Have you even been to both?
I thoroughly enjoyed both, each for different reasons.
Detroit is cheaper, grimier, sketchier, and more soulful and music oriented.
Miami is flashy, glam, trendy, sunny, and "scene".
I would go to both every year if I could. One more for a vacation and one more for a foray into the forefront of electronic music evolution (and history). |
