Ha! Ridiculous amounts of alcohol help. I recommend at least 24 cans of PBR per day... not including bloody marys in the morn. |

i personally prefer DEMF because it's more laid-back and way more affordable and not so overwhelming. i also like the dark dirty grimy vibe more than the sparkly shiny tanned and bling vibe you get in Miami.
i haven't been to WMC since '06 but i'm going again this year - primarily to hang out with friends i rarely see and to throw my panties at the Audio Logic boys on their yacht.
started tallying up ticket prices today, and i'm already at $400 (airfare and event tickets). that's not including lodging, long term parking, taxi fare, food, drinks, hookers, blow, etc... and the entire weekend at DEMF last year only cost me $500 for everything.
either way, i have a feeling both will be well worth it this year. :) |

as far as the weather goes... it got pretty chilly last year during DEMF. it was nice enough during the day for me to wear a skirt and tank top at the festival, but once the sun set (and in the morning hours) i needed jeans and a sweater. people were all bundled up in jackets at Old Miami on monday morning.
my $500 included a hotel room that i split with 3 other people, roundtrip train ticket from Milwaukee, weekend pass for the festival, afterparty event tickets, and all my food/alcohol expenses. granted, it may cost more if you're flying up from FL and aren't splitting the cost of lodging. |
