I'd like to see a multitrack Dr Rex device. So you could use the full loops as is the situation currently, or you can take parts out/ put other parts in. Yes, I'm aware that turns it into a mini sequencer which could be achieved by using the main sequencer, except it would still allow you to import whole loops/ full sets of sounds, in one easy step, all synced to tempo.
A detailed frequency analyser, as someone else said.
I'd very much hope the next version makes use of multicore CPUs. |

I know incorporating Recycle has been mentioned but how about combining Recycle with Dr Rex? Don't know how others use these devices but I only ever convert a wav loop to rex format and then use Dr Rex to play it. If I could do all of that from Dr Rex then brilliant.
Also on the whole vst question, Reason will never introduce vst support as it defeats the entire purpose of the product and as has been mentioned, would be a nightmare with the whole routing flexibility. How about this though...it's own vst type format so that vendors can develop devices purely for Reason that would adhere to Reason best practise, routing principles etc. Imagine if in Thor you could select a 3rd party filter from the drop down or just add a 3rd party device with all the same routing flexibility etc? You wouldn't need to rewire and an entirely new market would be introduced which I'm sure would leave vendors licking their lips and defo make Reason more marketable.
Unfortunately my Virus TI wouldn't be much use though :( |

This would be great to see. It'd make collabing on a reason project difficult (unless everyone buys the same synths), but nowadays many people use heaps of refills anyway, many of which can't be self-contained with the song, so the days of everyone being able to share their reason songs are already gone. |

Different people have different working methods. It's good that your method doesn't use much CPU. Others have methods which use more CPU. In the end, it's how the song sounds.
I have no CPU issues personally, I'm still on a single core Pentium 4 chip, but I'm running Cubase and using primarily hardware.
A number of other DAW manufacturers have enabled their programs to make use of multiple cores. It'd be odd if Propellerheads didn't do this with Reason. |

I don't think audio recording will ever be a possibility with reason.
That would make it an inferior cubase.
The only thing they could consider doing is spending some serious time creating a new mixer module modeled of the ssl 4048 console with build in eq and compression on each channel.
It should also visually look like that and we want the sequencer window to be resized to accommodate it.
That would really lift the program increase sales and help propelerheads make more money. |
Wow I said it back then and they did it now!
This is for all you non believers out there who think my advise is garbage! ;)
Finally for **** sake a mixer that looks like a f*****n mixer. They are going to make miiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllions! |

Go ahead and show me how.
Go ahead!
Don't worry! I'll wait!
Show how and I will edit my last post to say that you are stuck so far up your ass that you would rather make up some bull story about how I edited my post than admit that I saw this coming before you did.
Then I will ''hide the edit.''
LOL.
You are reaching man you really are. |
