We will always have vinyl. But the digital side of things (CDs) will be a dead format in the next 5 years. Same fate awaits DVD/Blu-Ray. Everything will go to hard drives and downloads.
Djs and true music connoisseurs will never let companies stop producing vinyl versions though. |

I certainly don't hope so. I personally rather spend hours burning as opposed to using time coded cd's. So much easier and less distracting, IMHO. |

whats wrong with laptops, other than that theres no skill involved because they beat-match for you?
doesnt that only help you to control the flow of your set better since u save time ud otherwise spend beatmatching? |

No. Beatmatching is the easiest part of DJing. It shouldnt take too long in the first place.
There will be evolutions to DJing, but nothing is going to be phased out. |
