That's a strong quote!
Loved the speech. Looking forward to seeing it put in action, and making sure that action is taken. |

Though de Tocqueville was remarkably brilliant, some could say that Congress has just discovered that it needs to stop bribing powerful lobbies (Wall Street, rich people, agribusiness) with the public's money. |
what is your view on this new guy from the republican party? |

He reminds me of someone from the Player Haters Ball sketch on Chappelle's Show. I'm expecting him to end his speech with "now if you'll excuse me I gotta get home and change the water in Obama's mother's bowl!"

Don't forget democrat stalwarts like the unions and the trial lawyers in that powerful lobby list of people being bribed... it ain't all Republicans. I doubt there is much disparity anymore between who's "richer" (dems/repubs) anyway. The class envy stereotype is worn out. Besides, more people in the upper income tax brackets swayed Obama's way in this election. It's all inclusive.
The quote is still money though. :toocool: |

what? Bobby Jindal? I think he gave a good impersentation of a M. Night Shyamalan movie ..... tries to deliver the punch, and drop the big surprise at the end, and ends up in a failure. |

| I don't know about you guys, but I think Bobby Jindal was brilliant in Slumdog. |

he's born and raised in Louisiana. I guess that's what happens to Indians who live in the boondocks. They end up like him. :p |

Really? Because there were at least three initiatives that were never even mentioned on the campaign, and several that I had pegged as abandoned long before Nov. 4.
Reforming agricultural subsidies... I'm curious to see where that is heading. |
aren't you an alt? |

Jindal?
He's probably the Republicans' best hope in 2012... seems fairly competent, and he's a Rhodes Scholar to boot... but his history with strange religious practices doesn't bode well for the Christian Party.

The difference being that the rich people voting for Barack Obama don't mind taking a hit on taxes in order to further the greater good. ;) |
