The teens that actually make it to jail, must've been even bigger spoiled brats to get there in the first place.
At first glance the cops were too brutal on the girl, in the video, but I won't alledge anything until the rest of the story comes out. |
abercrombie, no matter whats the rest of the story, what he did was wrong. cops are paid to stop that kind of from happening. hey, she called him names i agree, maybe she even told him she'll kill him, or kill his kids or whatever. he went trough training to deal with that kind of .
look at the video. he kicks her in the stomach then punches her then slams her head against the wall and throws her on the ground.
, lets say thats ok even though i cannot understand what could she do to deserve that kind of punishment. if it was a big guy i'd say him, he's stupid, he deserved it. but that was a scrawny 15 years old girl.
now, those two punches to the back of her head.... thats scary. thats ing evil. why would he do that to her?? to anybody?? and most importantly would he do it if it was 15 YEARS OLD WHITE GIRL??? honestly, would he do it??
would you say "oooh she deserved it" if it was your daughter or your sister?? |

non physical disciplinary measures only work if the person receiving discpline is willing to accept non physical disciplinary measures (or be coerced into accepting non verbal discipline, vice physical discipline)
hence why for some, going to a jail even for a day straightens out the person and he never commits other crime. and yet there are constant reoffenders who arent fazed by jail time
however, because of our innate survival instinct, humans naturally dont like pain. so, on most basic instinct level, physical disciplinary measures teaches a person that it is most likely a good idea to avoid repeating that action that brought on physical pain |

Excuse me, but when did I call anyone a dumbass or stupid (and please disregard the tongue-in-cheek Simpsons post in response to Diginut shootin my argument down in that thread, it was also a joke)?
Also, I was really hoping that you would catch on to my tongue-in-cheek tone when I replied in all caps with the whip-smileys to your question.
The REAL question here is, would I have the balls to say it to a cop? After the video in this thread? Probably not. |

Kids walk around these days like they're invincible. They mouth off and disrespect cops and other authority figures, then when they get their ass beat like they deserve, a bunch of panzy ass bitches start up with "Ooooohh, poor 15 year old girrrrrl." the girl! If she'd acted calmly and cooperated, she wouldn't have had her ass kicked. It's not like he caused any permanent or serious damage, all she has to show for it are a couple of cuts and bruises at worst. That's nothing. |

First of all, you're not in a position of authority, so I'd have no reason to respect said authority.
Secondly, yes, if I called you a bitch (and seriously meant it, not my ridiculous tongue-in-cheek diatribes on the interwebz when I'm often exagerating a point), and you punched me for it. Yes, I would say that I deserved it. You don't go around calling random people "bitches" in real life.
Thirdly, if I DID call you a bitch in real life, it would be after getting to know you, and allowing you to get to know me, and understand that I often say over-the-top things to push people's buttons and get reactions. It wouldn't be the first time I've taken a punch for saying something stupid. But more likely, since you would know me, you wouldn't punch me either.
In conclusion. Yes, I probably WOULD have the balls to call you a bitch in real life, to your face. With the qualifier that I would have to know you first, and know that you understand my tendency to make over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek statements. Now, if you've read enough of my TA posts over the years, you probably already know that. Judging from your response though, you take me just a touch too seriously. |

I just said I want to hear the other side of the story. I very much agree it looks like police brutality all the way. There's just been so much brutal this brutal that on TV news as of late, only to discover the other side of the story evens things out or skews my view the other way. Let's watch it pan out. |
