I do this now, buying in the canteen was a massive waste of money.
I'll either bring a loaf of bread in and have peanut butter or Marmite sammiches for 2 days, or cook the following the night before:
Pasta salad (fusilli, tuna, mayo, sweetcorn, cherry tomatoes)
Various pastas to be heated in the work microwaves
Mexican bean & rice salad
Stir-fry
I also have a big tupperware of muesli in my work drawer, and have a 350ml thermos for bringing milk in, which gives me 2 bowls of muesli, breakfast, and afternoon at work. |

I always bring my own lunch.
- turkey lettuce wraps (turkey breast and a couple slices of cheese + a bit of mayo wrapped in a lettuce leaf)
- grilled salmon
- steamed broccoli, green beans, or asparagus
- baked/garlic mashed sweet potatoes (my god do I love sweet potatoes)
- grilled chicken
- cottage cheese
- protein shakes
- almonds
Oh and lots of fresh salads. |
Ah those are pretty much my lunches as well. I love yams. Try mashing a butternut squash, similar idea but a bit of a different taste.
I love steaming kale with broccoli, zucchini and yams/squash. Usually a miso based dressing (garlic, miso paste, lemon juice, olive oil, salt/pepper to taste). Make it the might before and bring for lunch, ace! |

never bring my lunch, just don't want to bother.
eating out usualy costs less than 10$, which is not that of a big deal. |

| I don't really eat lunch, so I suppose you could say I bring my own lunch, too. |

It's not that big of a deal day to day, but over time, that's 50 bucks a week, 200 bucks a month. That's money you could be spending on hookers and blow.
I usually bring my lunch, but I forgot to today. I always make myself a ham and cheese sandwich, a baggie of chips, and whatever other small sweet morsel I have laying around (yogurt, girl scout cookies, nutrigrain bars). |
