, Sorry to hear it :(

It's weird going to in to shops or businesses and talking to staff - a lot of employed workforce think they about to be let go at any time.

I don't think this is going to last much longer though - I reckon by the middle of 2009 it will have turned around the climb back up will begin.

found out a friend just lost his job literally 2 seconds ago. so weird to see it hitting so many people around us.

I may be part of the OC statistic soon. We had a meeting today with the president of the company and he said we aren't doing that good. :(

Oil. Those ers are making more money than ever.

Entertainment is OK, not doing great but still ok.

There are many reasons I moved to Phoenix. This is a big one. Unemployment is lower and you need to make a bout a 3rd of what you need in LA. I paid $1600 for a one bedroom in LA. My friend who moved out here with my girl and I got a one bed that's nicer than mine was for $650. She got a job in a B of A call center making 28K and will have more than enough to be happy. Cali is a tough place to be right now.

Really sorry to hear that. I guess the bright side is you can put more energy into promo and hopefully make enough doing that.
