Attempts such as the one below can only bring up uncomfortable questions, and expose the true nature of Iranian alleged peaceful nuclear energy goals.

Iran has the right to nuclear technology.

exactly. why should the US always have their nose up everyone's ass telling them you can/can't do this or that? its fkn annoying & that's why so many countries have felt annoyed..
hell, let them do what they please bc they have the right as a country. if they decide to launch on the other hand, we'll at least we know we're more than ready to take care of it :p

You need to see the video of it. People are clapping, and dozens of delegates are leaving the hall. Also, at the beginning, couple protesters interrupt smiling Ahmadinejad, obviously people concerned with gay rights in Iran. You can view it here:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8008572.stm

Ahmadinejad blames Jews for everything, doesn't he? Jews didn't just immigrate to Israel, they were SENT by the orders of the Zionists themselves, to colonize the Palestinian lands! :stongue:

At the same time, Iran has internal racism issues of its own - anti-Arab discrimination (how ironic!). Yet, for some reason, it stretches its hand to support Palestinians.

Why's that? What rights do nations have inherently reserved for them? Since when?

Article 3 of the non-proliferation treaty.

Oh great. You're going to continue krypton's habit of making idiotic sweeping statements that hold little resemblance to reality.

Iran is a signatory to the non proliferation treaty. Go look it up.

have you actually read article 3 of the NPT (reproduced below for your reading pleasure)? Iran does not have the right to produce nuclear technology for non-peaceful purposes. Article 3 clearly states that a non-nuclear-weapon state must submit to IAES safeguards to prevent the nuclear technology from being diverted for non-peaceful purposes. Moreover, as far as I'm aware, Iran has been extremely uncooperative with the IAEA for quite some time. From 2006: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11105378/. You don't need a lawyer to write a memo explaining that Iran is in violation of the NPT; it's pretty obvious!

quote:

Article III

1. Each non-nuclear-weapon State Party to the Treaty undertakes to accept safeguards, as set forth in an agreement to be negotiated and concluded with the International Atomic Energy Agency in accordance with the Statute of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Agency’s safeguards system, for the exclusive purpose of verification of the fulfillment of its obligations assumed under this Treaty with a view to preventing diversion of nuclear energy from peaceful uses to nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices. Procedures for the safeguards required by this Article shall be followed with respect to source or special fissionable material whether it is being produced, processed or used in any principal nuclear facility or is outside any such facility. The safeguards required by this Article shall be applied on all source or special fissionable material in all peaceful nuclear activities within the territory of such State, under its jurisdiction, or carried out under its control anywhere
