Paris Hilton and Techno don't mix (pg. 6)

Just because bottle service is out of place in a house club doesn't mean it doesn't have a place in clubs period. It's just a fact that people here consider a club one thing and other people consider it something else.

The whole bottle service/V.I.P. mentality just screams pretense, an aspect of mainstream clubbing I find reprehensible. Anyone who thinks that buying a private booth and exorbitantly marked-up, self-serve liquor somehow makes them better than everyone else in the club is living proof that money does not buy class - and I'm having a hard time figuring out what other motivation there would be for doing such a thing. If you go out to be in a social environment, then sequester yourself away from everyone else, what's the point?

What's more hilarious than the incident is how Angello is now some DJ idol because he said no to her requests...yes, the plague of DJs everywhere, the dumb blonde asking for hip hop...life is hard.

Bottle service has promoted in miami year and the trends filtered all over North America. I could see it getting bigger from the early 2000's then eventually making its way in Toronto.

But this story is jokes and good for Angello. My girlfriend has Paris Hilton's promotional business card she got from her 2 years ago. I should call her up and fun of her. LOL @ jukebox.

Bottle service helps pays the bills to see all your favorite DJs. Who cares what other people are doing at the clubs anyway? Do your own thing.

I don't think that's a concern or an issue here. Sure a dj comes across stuff like that all the time. What is a concern is having someone SLAP you b/c you refuse a request like that. Still, who knows what the 'real' story is but I would tend to believe the dj over Hilton. It's more likely that it happened like that than her being assaulted first.

As for the bottle service thing, people sometimes want to chill with their friends and drink and party without having to socialize with everyone in the club. Sometimes they just want to have the perks of listening to music/dance a little on the floor then go back to chatting up with their friends in the booth without having 'creepy' guys hit on them, etc etc etc.

;)

Although the people who are stuck up socialites who believe they are better than everyone else due to them spending $1000 per bottle of Greygoose at Muzik and look down their noses at everyone from atop their perch in a booth, plz...get a freaking life. :D

There is a demand for bottle service so there's nothing wrong with clubs trying to accommodate their customers. The only ty part is that our last call is at 2AM - it's a much more attractive option when you're at a party that goes late and you can still have the grey goose flowing at 4am.

Those of us who were around in the days of the big massives may miss that 'raving' experience but things have changed a lot since then so you either adapt or get jaded -- or just be more selective of your parties... even if that means traveling to try something different.

Yeah, when they had sponsorship from Benson and Hedges. And once Benson and Hedges stopped doing sponsorship there were bigger gaps of the DJs coming to Toronto. Bottle service is one of the ways to help out with DJ costs.
