torq does it too, I just sold it to grab traktor scratch duo for its vinyl acccuracy. I want pro though:(

Serato has auto-looping based on beat detection as well, but doesn't have a way to set a beat grid or auto-sync.

duo will just do fine, plus 6 on board effects including phrase, beatmasher, flanger, gater, echo, delay. It is going to own.

Here we go this is what paste from NI forum with a minor adjustment

First test run, the good and the bad

hello all, after my first radio show on traktor scratch duo, I decide to do an comprehensive review about this product that I just brought.

Unboxing video

First the good stuff.

:Lighting fast responds time with very little latency
:Love the filters and effects especially the beatmasher2
:no hiccups for spinning with one deck and loading tracks to each decks
:solid pitch algorithm
:Loud banging sound card

The bad part and I hope someone is reading this will get it fixed soon

:sound card buzzing noise
sample below
http://essentialtunesfm.com/news/audio/traktor_buzzing_noise.wav

:Audio distortion when playing at - 98.2 pitch.
Now maybe I can fix this by tweak the audio latency but where do I stand for best audio quality as far as audio latency. What is the best ms for audio latency?
I thought NI Audio4/8 and software does not have audio distortion period.

:Beatmasher2 minor hiccup
When I press the one beat 12'O Clock wheel, sometimes the audio fade out by one beat and then pick it up again.
Perhaps it is when I grab the beat at the end of it

i'm seriously thinking about picking this up very, very soon. so with the audio8 you could in theory mix with four decks in traktor scratch? very, very sexy.

limin_li how bad would you say the feedback noises are? to the point where you wouldn't feel comfortable playing out?

well, 1.5.1 still had skipping issues, no doubt about that. 1.05 was rock-solid though.

Well, let me clarify

The feedback noise where I connect the mixer output to the laptop input. The noise itself cannot be heard when your mixer output to an amplifier. I have pretty much solved this problem already by lowering down the recording volume on the macbook and turn volume up on the mixer. You still can hear it, but very minimal. My next step is to see if I can rewire the cables so the noise is completely gone. Now, the audio4 box has an extra headphone jack, I am thinking about plug that back to the macbook input to see if it can be any better.

Overall, I am very happy with the product, beside the rewiring, I am going to setup midi control with my M-Audio Oxygen 8 keyboard to control the effects.
Omega_Blue
well, i just bought one, kinda on accident.

i was browsing ebay for pricing on the unit, saw one "make an offer" for $349 with free shipping, and made a lowball-ish offer of $300, expecting to get turned down. i won it.
limin_li
congrads, you are going to have lots of fun.

sounds like a groundloop.

Max,

Should I rewire the turntable metal hook to the audio 4 box, or should keep the audio 4 box away as much as possible?
