for those who don't know just yet, check out

www.hybridized.org

they have Digital Witchcraft, Burufunk, Stefan Anion, Way Out West, Noel Sanger, Hybrid, and other progressive breaks/progressive house sets available for download via direct download and they used to go at a decent speed. They probably still do.

Abdomen Burst - So Many Hopes (original mix). listening right now, and ejoying. i'm a bit suprised with the retroid remix since i have know him to turn out a certain style of breaks, not quite what i was looking for but a solid production none the less.

i have a lot of really nice mixes from my buddy (which i think i will post on here cuz you guys seem to like the same style of breaks) he is still up on the releases that come out which are kind of far and few between compaired to say trance or progressive. i used to spin breaks back in the day, that's actually what got me into edm full on and made the sagway from hiphop which was deing out and becoming "jiggy and marketable" into a new style of music that still used a breakbeat which i loved. i'm glad i still get at least that small influence into the progressive break scene through my buddy's updated mixes. i find myself searching throught the progressive break section on beatport but man the you have to sift through just to even find a good break is quite disheartening.
when im shopping and once i find something good (which there still is) i try and think how i can fit it into a progressive or trance set, which can work really nice but honestly the whole flow of a break has such different energy then the 4 over, and makes it tough to find a break to fit into your set, maybe having a break intro is your best bet. the thing is i remember when breaks used to be hard and get the main room attention and always trun the party out. i hope to see a resurge in breaks cuz they truely can get a floor rocking , even a main room which is the real test!!!

So i sit here wondering how the art of progressive breaks became so scares, when at one piont it was a serious force in the dance industry (just look at florida breaks, a whole scene onto it self). i guess that is a ty example of how fads can really shift music and in this case almost bring it to extinction. what i would like to see in the future is to have breaks get more recognition and to see break djs getting booked for parties, and i don't meen in the side, side room but back on the main ticket cuz seriously there isn't a better set to play at a festival mid after noon (or anytime really) then some nice progressive breaks. breaks are spot on, and i will always keep my eye out for new tracks although the scene of breaks i once knew and loved has changed so much

so anyway on that one of my all time favorite break here which is actually sadly just a break ontop of an original song, but the thing was back in that time it didn't really matter cuz everything was so fresh

sharaz remix of g-park - you got me fallin. which is is an amazing original on it's own. plus the nostaglia which really gives these old favs shelf life, which i'm sure you guys must get when listeing to these oldies !!!

here's a solid mix my buddy put together. like i said one of the few that's still keeping up with breaks and turning out nice sets. if you enjoy progressive breaks with an energetic flow this is your mix. mixes are solid and clean and track selection flows really smooth. trust me take a listen you'll enjoy !!

I've come to realise that Fretwell is probably my favourite producer right now. He's still putting stuff out.
