That sounds really good.. I used to listen to this stuff on Proton a lot some years ago.
| quote: | | I've got a wonderful, chilled prog-breaks set by DJ Mewel at home that I will upload later. Beautiful tuneage, and I can't ID a single tune! |
If it's anything like the sample I quoted above, it should be good. I'll definitely give it a listen. |

| Sorry, I didn't read every suggestion in this thread. But the first thing to pop into my mind when I think melodic breaks is: Tom Middleton - Shinkansen (The Odyssey). Though I'm sure that one has already been covered by the thread starter or another in this thread, it was pretty damn popular in 2007, I think it was even a TA TOTY contender. |

aside from what you guys/girls already mentioned, BT-binary universe is a great CD, the tracks 1.618, good morning kaia, antikythera mechanism...
but these are all older...
Sunsurge - Windmill Sessions can be very chill breaks sometimes...for example session 23 is pretty nice..and I'm one who can't really listen to anything else but chill, progressive breaks, I personally can't be bothered with any other type of trance...
P.S. my all time fav, Chicane - Far from the maddening crowds and behind the sun CD's...Sultan, Digital Witchcraft...and many more.. |

I'm pretty much the same.. I seem to really like the slower breaks stuff such as Inspired Mindz - Co-Inside.. Recommendations for tracks like that are welcome.
There were quite a few DJ sets on Proton that contained stuff like this some years ago, let's see if I can dig those up somewhere. |

No qualms with spamming good music. Your breaking daylight mix is still my 'go to' mix when I want to hear some lush breaks. I patiently wait for a follow up, though I understand the difficulty in finding new tracks in this particular genre. |

This might tickle your fancy
Brilliant set which I *really* enjoy - very talented DJ and producer who visits the boards every so often. :) |

Here you go man:
Dj Mewel Chill-breaks mix
It's a short mix of half an hour but each of the five tunes are immense! Can't ID any.
Strongly suggest you guys take a listen, as it's one of my fave mixes. Anyone who ID's the tunes is a winner. |

Thank you very much too.. I'll download it tonight, as file storage sites are blocked at work here. |

This stuff's still being made, it's just not as prominent as it was a couple of years ago. Go on Beatport and check out Ilya Mosolov's "Lights Of Paradise" EP. Some of the best melodic breaks I've heard in a while, new or old. |
That's a great shout. Just listening now, love it! |
