Well, word is this is true and Mike Bindra is involved. Found this on the 'ism:
| quote: | | No April Fools - ran into Bindra Friday night at Karu and Y. They had been planning to announce at WMC, but the final contract wasn't fully executed until Monday night. |
edit: and my hubby got an interview to work there, he just called to tell me :) |

i never been to twilo
i remember i went the night it was carl cox vs dt and my friends girlfriend didnt have her id so we all left
i should have ditched them lol
iam still kinda skeptical about this
i mean twilo in miami failed misserably and the nyc scene has changed alot from back then, today honestly for a superclub to survive week in and week out its gonna take some sort of bottle service or something
bindra and the made crew ran arc week in and week out on no liqour
and now with save the canibals party at rebel there is no bottle service either
they do bring in great talent but will it be enuff to keep them in business and change the scene? we will have to see |

| what made partys do u see not pack out?? I was at twilo week in and week out and yes it was always packed.. they moved to arc eventually and yes week in and week out it was full even with out alcohol. No matter where they go miami,ny where ever. Its always the biggest party. If made has a club to throw weekly partys at again with a liquor liscends..look out this place will be packed solid every night its open. U know they have the best talent around all the time.. |

PvD has always praised Twilo as one of his favorite....
He mentions twilo in alot of interviews on how much he loved playing that room |

he said in numerious interviews that twilo was probly the most amazing club he ever spun in...past or present
and sandman i know made knows how to run their party
but that was the scene back then, and there were quite a few nights that arc had a slow night and the talent was there
all iam saying is that for a megaclub to be sucessfull now its more bottle service driven then it was say 6-7 years ago
but the economy has slowed down a bit so maybe this is a good time for them to open up a more music driven club and bring something back into the nyc scene
me personally i never got to experience twilo, spirit was the closest but it deff wasent the same
i personally would like to see a club like arc or shelter open up
not mega big or nutin, just a medium sized room with a great sound system and great music and a great vibe |

as long as people can drink the club will fill for them with who they bring in all the time. Arc once in a while would have a dead spot but that was largely due to the fact there was no alcohol.
I do agree nothing huge open but somehting in between...but it if u can get big and pack it go for it..Twilo wasnt exactly small.. when spirit took over it made that place alot smaller than it was. They should of just left it. |

I went a little before it closed and didnt really think it was THAAAT special.....or at least at the time I didn't think it would have the reputation as it does now. I think it can happen again if the place is opened by the right people. The made people might be able to pull it off. Really, what made it so legendary was the sound system. If they build a killer sound system, that's half the battle. Then just totally base the place off the music. Maybe like a bigger sized Cielo or something, bring in djs that represent all spectrums in the edm scene.....trance, techno and house. And of course never book JP or Boris so the guidos stay at Pacha. No reason why an epic club can't come back. |
