i dunno, even if it does happen, you know its not going to be nearly the same. they can bring in the same sound system, buy back the disco ball, and call it whatever they want--- its not going to be the same twilo. all we can really hope for is a new club that is worth going to. that's my 0.02

I agree, but I'm optimistic. The Twilo name would (at least for a short time) bring out the older heads. People who know the name and never got to go will want to go too just because it's "Twilo". Plus, think of all the huge dj's who loved playing there; they'll at least give it a try. I never made it to the old Twilo myself, so I wouldn't know if it were the same vibe, but I'm sure interest in the venue would be extremely high for all parties. If nothing else, Pacha (and possibly M2 and Webster Hall) would want to continue bringing in big talent to compete. So at a minimum, it COULD help increase demand for true EDM venues in NYC.

Frank, that's the thing... if you never got to experience it, then there's still potential for it to not disappoint you. but to me, its just like limelight reopening as avalon... or any other nyc club i used to love, reopening as something else... you'll always compare it to what used to be, and kind of set your own disappointment. i guess i'm optimistic too, but just for a good place to party...

I agree, expectations will be off the charts on this.

Twilo benefited from the music scene back when progressive house/trance era sasha/digweed/pvd were on top of the game. that musical period is long gone, so another Twilo would imo be pretty pointless and would never ever come close to what it was.

Can anyone tell me when this is gonna happen and if its gonna be in the same place?
