i think thats wishful thinking... most big clubowners (ive heard it from their own mouths) respect webster hall's owners because its the only big club that can manage to stay open, and packed, for so long... and you know how? they commercialized the out of that place... sooner or later, megaclubs in new york always have to go that route, its a case of or get off the pot. push always comes to shove (in the past 8-10 years at least) and the club (or clubgoers) always go sour... i won't be too hopeful about this til i see it with my own eyes... i'll be the first person to support and go week-in and -out if the talent's good though! |

A made owned club would indeed rock my panties off!
These ppl did a fuking AMAZING job for the Anjuna/M-nus party and let me not even get started with Sunday School.

Twilo was legendary and when Spirit came around, same venue - virtually same set up, people kept ragging on it. Place was too small to hold any "mega star" comfortably and everyone bitched about it. If it came back as a brand, it would not be the same Twilo and people would compain. It's nice to be nostalgic but times have changed, DJs have changed, clubbers have changed, and music has changed. Like it or not, new place is bound to spring up. When old one will close, even those that ragged on it will say how awesome it was.
I just watched "For An Angel" vid and PvD so young in it - looked soo... UNcommercial back then. He was simply the original "El Majico" - great nights, wonderful sets... and then he just turned to Ableton and whole experience went to .
Post has been removed, so... I call 4/1 shennanigans. |

Regardless, NYC needs a killer edm only club other than Pacha. |
