I spoke too soon I guess. There was a 6.0 earthquake earlier today between Mexico City and Acapulco.
Drug wars, Swine Flu, earthquakes. Good times. |

I got really sick after Coachella...and still recovering...but what scared my family the most was the way I was sweating for 3 nights. My bed was literally drenched, like 10 gallons of water was poured onto it. My parents were actually frightened for my life and for a moment I was too. Glad I'm showing signs of recovery! | Ya, that happens to me when im off weeed... |

, just heard an email that was read on BBC world service.
It was a doctor from a large mexico city hospital saying that there are way more deaths than are being reported because the doctors are being told to put "acute respiratory failure or pneumonia" etc on the death certificate, rather than the real cause!!!!!! :( |

this shouldn't be a surprise. in events like these, the country determined to be the origin will always lie about the total number of cases in order to reduce chance of a panic. China did the same thing during the SARS breakout in hong kong. the good thing is america seems be quite well prepared and so the more serious cases of swine flu are more contained to the mexico area. lets hope it stays that way. |

I work for one of the biggest Health Care providers in California and when I got in to work today we really haven't heard anything or much from our patients in regards to this Swine Flu. I do work in a big facility with over 400 employees and it scares me because when one person gets sick here it gets around very quickly. Hopefully some of the causes of death in Mexico are due to their quality of health care rather than the severity of the disease itself.
Oh and I was just wondering since California is one of the states that has reported people being diagnosed, does anybody know someone or have any family members that have been diagnosed or have had similar simptoms?? |
