Hi all, and welcome to the official Push "Global Age" blogger page :)
Here you can follow what i'm doing in my studio right now, and see how the new Push album progresses.
I'm very exited about the new Push album, 5 years after "Electric Eclipse" and almost 10 years after my Push debut album "From Beyond".
The comeback is a bit harder then i though to be honest, as people would like to see me writing anthems all the time like "Universal Nation" or "Strange World".
But it's not that easy.
The 2008 comeback with the "Universal Voice E.P." was great, with great reviews and reactions.
We're in a different time scheme, a new generation, and there are so many subgenre's in the global dance scene of today.
Back in the days, trance was trance, and techno was techno, but now all those subgenre's are blended into each other, and that makes it an interesting tool to work with.
My aim with the new album is to bring back to good old trance feel, updated with the sound of today, mixed in with all kinds of edm genre's.
Expect, yep, for the very first time, 2 vocal tracks!
One is nearly done, and co written by Portland (U.S.) based Elsa Hill.
It's a really cool trancer, 132bpm only, and it has the old skool trance feel all over it.
Another vocal track i start the coming weekend with a girl named Naomi is very refreshing.
She's U.K. based, but she has a voice ..wow..this can be really something big.
But i only have a small part of the song ready yet.
At the moment i'm doing the mix down of the opening track called "On The First Day".
This one can be described as the typical electro trance sound, though with the Push touch all over it.
A really cool hard bassline with some dreamy triggering pads.
The next weeks i might drop some previews, who knows :)
That's it for now, back to work ...
Another tune

It's all about this -- best trance live pa I've ever seen.
And another one:
Galore - I Call You (Main mix)
Push - R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
Mass Effect - Alpha Scan - ing sick acid line. Deep track.
Another deep underground MIKE track is D.E.E.P.E.R. - Abstraction. I love it. Complex Climate - Genetic Stress/From The Heart & The Mind. Atractiva - Alba Neuva (techno track). M.I.K.E. - Crime Time.
And I've never heard of this one but I really want to check it out:
The Astronaunt - Cosmic Trash / Forbidden !!!
SFX - Makes It Different
Return of the Native - Persuasion - 1998 - techno/acid/trance
Return of the Native has to be my favorite MIKE alias right now. Such deep, dark, mysterious tracks, and virtually unknown to most. Persuasion is amazing, and so is everything I've heard in this alias.
Extreme Trax - Don't Hold Back (Slow Trance mix)
Jasper, I was thinking the same thing, making an old school M.I.K.E. mix. :tongue3
Push2005
M.I.K.E.'s vomit inducing productions in recent years almost made me forgot what a genius and pioneer he used to be. Props up for some of those videos; It doesn't always have to be the same overmentioned tracks :)
Subtle
This is the best remix Push has done in my opinion.
The energy of this tune... :eyespop:

I wonder how much of that Live PA is actually LIVE?

Actually, I already made a provisional tracklist for mine. :o
30 tracks, oldskool as well as recent. I just need to borrow my mate's turntables next week, and then I'll be able to mix it. But I ended up omitting a lot of those deeper, technolike tracks you mentioned (I don't have them on vinyl, or felt they didn't fit in the mix), so maybe we can make a set of complementary mixes? :)
Numidia
Thanks for posting the tracks guys, but do any of you have access to what was, in my opinion, Mike's best remix, Bomfunk MC's Live your life???? I've been looking for that for ages and they don't sell it anymore. If anyone has it can they post on youtube and put a link on here????

guy is one of the pioneers of edm, i cant really hate him cause like i said he is one of the pioneers, but i just dont agree with some of his recent work
but listenin back to his old school tracks and sound to me it never gets old
and i also agree refuge that return of the native is deff a great alias of his maddd dark and underground
