I was watching this game in a bar with well over a hundred people, and I have never seen an English crowd want an English club to lose so badly. When Barcelona scored at the end, every one of us aside from a small pocket of Chelsea fans at the back went nuts.

Chelsea are a ing horrible club populated by horrible players. Barca may not deserve to be in the final, but I'm definitely not the only one who is glad they are. Man United - Barca is the right final.

Spectacular goal by Essien, though. I don't think I've ever seen a goal that good before.

Gudni Bergsson against Barnsley in the premier league. 40 yards.

John McGinlay against wolves in 1996. 1-1 with 5 mins to go, he took the ball on his chest in the D, turned and volleyed it into the top of the net. I was in the home fans (wankers btw) and nearly got beaten up.

which they deserve. As do United. All the other teams take against the 'big' teams. Decisions go for them more often than not so for it to be 'not' then it's great.

I'm thinking of making a compilation of all crucial decisions made by the referee to show that the only moment the Chelsea players were allowed to complain was with Pique's handball. All other moments were no foul.

- 1st half: Malouda shouldn't have gotten a free kick. He just let himself drop to the floor
- red card: Abidal didn't even touch Anelka
- can't think of the others right now.. ;)

Opposed to that, Messi should have gotten a penalty as he _was_ tripped by the Chelsea player in the penalty area.

And besides, that only person the Chelsea players are allowed to be mad at are themselves for not making more goals when they had the chance.

If you look at the statistics, Chelsea deserved the win, as Barca's goal was their first shot on goal. But god damn.. can a team play any more defensively than Chelsea just did? They held 7 players around their penalty area for the whole 90 minutes, and every time Messi got the ball, there were 4 Chelsea players defending him.

Let's hope Barca can sparkle in the final, just like they did against Madrid.

where was the location of the bar?

i'm willing to bet that the "English" crowd located in southwest London weren't all that happy about the result of the match.

i would have to disagree with you on your strongly worded assessment of chelsea being a "ing horrible club populated by horrible players."

Judging to Chelsea's reaction after the game was over, he's not that far off :)
