You're thinking of nrjizer's avatar. However, they aren't the same thing. Mau5's Tattoo comes from the old arcade game "Space Invaders", while nrjizer's avatar is the character "Ignignokt" from the show: "Aqua Teen Hunger Force". |

but he's a nice guy. i will admit i liked the reward is cheese (for a minute...it got old fast), and i asked him about it on myspace because i had heard it was him but wasn't sure (i just had a sample from a youtube video). we were going back and forth on myspace until he told me to add him on msn and we did some light chatting about music and he loves jazz, etc... i mean he's a cool dude i don't get why everyone hates his guts. if you don't like his music, just don't ing buy it and shut up lol |

If you went anywhere near any of the forums that actually discuss music on this site in 2008 you'd know why people hate him. |

I know he's a nice guy, I've met him.
But he has also said a lot of really stupid things which highlight his ignorance when it comes to this music.
I don't really think it's his fault. He made some cool tracks and then got sucked up and consumed into this vast hype machine run by PR companies. He went from bedroom producer in Canada to world travelling superstar overnight. He doesn't have any of that pretext and assimilated influence you get from working your way into it. I mean if you had thrown me into the same situation a few years ago when I just started DJing I would probably have ended up pretty close. It's hard to find out what kind of artist you want to be overnight, and with the forces pushing him now I dunno if he'll ever be able to figure that out. His latest music has just been terrible...

i actually hear he's not that awful of a guy. i know he talks lots of but seems like he does that just to agrevate not because he's really truely an . plus the guy is super shy maybe that's his defense mechanism dealing with people. not saying it's acceptable behavior but i don't think he's terrible. hated that he was one of those douchebags at bal en blanc wearing all black, seriously come on everyone else is in white get your together.
as for the tattoo it is ugly. |
