You can't use the new Vengeance samples without permission (pg. 5)

Yes, i hope this thread helps people to see what vengeance really are. Thievs.

I really dont know how they get away with selling other peoples hard work and passing it off as their own, along with taking a lot of praise from people for doing so! At a price of around £70 makes it even more of a joke.

What I don't understand is how they haven't been sued yet (or maybe they have, but maybe they have enough money to pay their way out). There are some very obvious rips, I don't understand why the copyright holders haven't taken action.

If something does happen though, it'll be interesting, since Vengeance samples are used so heavily in trance currently.

They would only have a proper case if they join forces. It seems nobody has found the time in bringing all of the 'victims' together yet.

It's about Sounds of the Revolution now :toothless

Got a good techy vibe going in their stuff.

This thread has done enough to convince me to stop using their samples. Not for fear of them, but for distaste. Only had one pack that I used before, so I wont lose much sleep over it.

Because no one cares. Labels do not really care. They made their money. Often times the artist don't even know, and if they did, they probably don't care. And if they do, there is probably not much they can do since they signed an agreement with the devil when they joined the label. So the track is probably not even theirs anymore.

Its the same way with video game sharing. I know sites in America right now that host all the NES,SNES,N64,PSX,DS,GBA,GB,SEGA,SATURN,DREAMCAST games...openly. You can download them free of charge, without even needing bitorrent, its ftp access. The people who run this site have had 0 trouble. Because no body cares. For the most part all this copy protection breaching and license breaching is just a bunch of hoo haa meant to scare people.

******** hit the nail on the head.

I got the first two packs, and there's loads of samples in those i recognize from productions that was released long before.

I was considering purchasing the third one aswell but now I don't know

hey all

i'm new here, ive been browsing these boards for a while. Alot of very useful information to be had! thanks

Now on topic

I purchased some verngeance samples cds at christmas time. I completely agree that the sounds are mostly ripped/stolen from already released trance/house music. I bought my vengeance cds from a distributer who would refuse to give me a refund when i told them about the ripped conent.

I have also contacted vengeance TWICE with no reply and had threads instantly deleted from vengeance's forums when mentioning ripped sounds from vengeance cds! I would advise anyone not to buy their samples unless you want to pay for a load of sampled loops and kicks.

woah welcome to 1999. roms have been on the net forever, way before bit torrent.

also, before you assume vengeance ripped a sample, check the release date of the sample cd and the release date of whoever you think he ripped. You'll probably find they were just using vengeance samples. I know this is the case with Trentemoller and VMH samples.

Read my post at the bottom of this page:

HERE

It clearly shows tracks that were produced way before the vengeance cds in question. If thats not enough, i can prove they have ripped many sounds DIRECTLY from old ueberschall sample libraries and literally hundreds of commercial productions.

Also look at the loops through a spectrum analyser. Lots have very steep rolloffs of the high frequency content, suggesting they may have even ripped them from mp3.

Also, what about the consistent abrubt reverb cutoffs, Background noises, overcompression etc etc. All show the sounds are ripped imo. Those who refuse to believe this probably choose to ignore it due to spending A LOT of money on non-royalty free ripped material.

there are enough samples out there to not have to use vengeance
