The single hits arn't actually that bad. I was referring to the loops being shockingly bad. The single hits are quite average, not very clean though and slightly bass-light too imo.

i have one stupid newbie question..

are these vengance samples and loops just ripped from different tracks or they are made specificly for this purpose :conf:
Subtle
There arent many sample packs that actually offers loops with no kick, there a a few only, i think the Vengeance Loops are extremely usable.. can be chopped and sliced to an infinite amount of rhythm sounds.
dannib
Yes Chick, they are mainly ripped from other peoples music. Just read the whole thread.

I can't seem to find hardly any loops that sound half decent in any of the Vengeance packs to be honest. They completely suck imo.

Ninja, I can't be stuffed loading up the song again to check what sample it is, but it might be from one of the thrillseekers packs or something like that..?

Heres what Vengeance said for people too lazy to sign up for the forums:

these Wave Tags were a conversion mistake (Vec1) and had NOTHING to do with the sample content itself. I am tired to explain this, because the most beginners simply can not grasp what the hell I am talking about, so this is once and for all for those, who understand it:

We work like this way: several versions of Wavelab windows opened (up to 10) with different samples, so we build new sounds.

This is an example: Please load a white noize sound from a "free sounds" site from the internet, no matter where.
This white noize sound may contain a wave tag, lets call it: "this is a faaat whitenoize". Then, please delete this white noize in Wavelab but keep 10ms of it. Then please mix&paste a closed Hihat over it, as well as a ride sample, and at last please mix a attacky percussion and a big low sine body over it. Some envelope tweaks, some FX added... The result is a Kickdrum sample with the original white noize's wave tag: "this is a faaat whitenoize", without sounding like the white noize sample in ANY WAY! We did not care about renaming the wave tags in Vec vol.1. We never thought someone could be lacking imagination that much to get annoyed by it.

You will find none of these wrong tags in any other pack btw.
dannib
Yeh, as if vengeance are going to say " yes we ripped off the samples, thats why the tags are the same as the original content"
cronodevir
Vengeance, like most other CD compilations stole their . Period. Because if the guy who supposedly made all those samples did make them all, he would have trance albums that kick the ing out of tiesto or armin or some other crappy trance artist who uses crappy vengeance samples....but he doesn't does he?

dannib showed you carbon copy proof that vengence steals, end of discussion.

This reminds me of the debate we were in with this guy who posted a song a couple months ago, that had a loop from I think FLStudio? or some other place...it was an exact replica, but he still claimed it was his own... tsk tsk
smole
guess what?
search for a wave tag which actually matches to anything which is written there

100 bucks you will find NOTHING

Maybe this thread has gotten way out of hand?

I really don't think there is a case for argument. Look/ listen to the samples. The proof is right there in front of you.

I didn't want to cause a huge stir. I just wanted to warn people that vengeance samples are not royalty free as they claim. Im just stating my findings, nothing more.

I am done with this thread and done with arguing over this matter.

it's not just that.. the songs have a completely different tone. perhaps it's the vinyl overdriving into the mixer. i dont know, but theyre completely different songs when in that mix. another example is Tiesto Live at Energy 2000. Probably my second favorite trance mix ever. it is very creative mixing, and all the tracks have different pitch and tempo. i would of never liked any of those tracks alone because A. the singles sound so different, and B. the way he mixes them, the hour long journey he creates and the energy he brought to the tracks is what makes me like them.
