The new recession buster from the "DALTON GANG"

What a shocker from Daddy Dalton with new laws for the POLICE STATE OF ONTARIO

As of May 1st, a driver caught with a blood alcohol level between 0.05 and 0.08 — the so-called warn range — will have their licence suspended for three days

WITH NO APPEAL

If caught with a similar level of booze in their system a second time, their licence will be suspended for seven days and the driver will have to attend an alcohol education program.

WITH NO APPEAL

If caught a third time, the driver's licence will be suspended for 30 days, and the motorist will have to complete a remedial alcohol treatment program.
Drivers caught a third time will also have an ignition interlock condition placed on their licence for six months.

WITH NO APPEAL

The roadside licence suspensions CANNOT BE APPEALED and will be recorded on the driver's record.

So much for having your right to a fair trial.
This has to be a good law with the prohibitionists MADD giving full support to the "Dalton Gang"

The scary part about this is the roadside justice. No appeal, no trial, and YOU ARENT EVEN BREAKING THE LAW! This is not even considered a fine! They call it "administrative action" which is the exact same term that the Soviets and Chinese used to justify their heinous crimes under facism.

So how is it that in so called free democracy ontario you can be tried, convicted and sentenced on the side of the road by a police officer for a "crime" that isnt even a crime under the criminal code?

What is happening to Canada scares me. It really does.

I wrote up a long reply but then decided it'd be best to sit back and watch others debate this topic--should be interesting :)

Once again Jayx1 I agree with you. If the limit is 0.08 then the laws should be enforced at that level. If they want it reduced to 0.05 then they should have the criminal code ammended for that level of intoxication, but this kind of power can be very misused by pigheaded, corrupt police officers.

P.S. Dalton is a douchebag and should be ousted from government forever. I'm still pissed about the health premium, HST and his reductions to education funding even though he calls himself the savior of the ontario education system.

I'm just curious who voted for Dalton?

It seems like everyone I talked to said they didn't...yet these were all Liberals...Go Figure...

Watch for this to be extended to other areas of control. And watch fascism spread like a disease that it is.

The slippery slope all started with the onset of Dalton's race laws where the state can seize and crush your car without so much as a hearing if you are caught doing 50 over

You forgot to mention the $150 "Administrative Monetary Penalty" for each "offense".

Since your link doesn't work, here's the same information straight from the MTO, in case you're wondering about their rationale. They of course do not cite sources, they just say it's all "well documented" - the blood cry of the sociopath.

I believe that there's some truth to their statistics, but on a fundamental level, this is police acting outside of the law, and that's fascism no matter how you try to justify it.

It's worse in our 'fascist' state, when we can't bribe cops like other fascist states to get out of it.
Elendil
It's all to uncomfortable as well, because when these types of "actions" begin coming into place, it's always first on issues where people seem to say "well, I mean - isn't it wrong to be driving drunk anyways?", thereby giving free-reign for the state to determine on further issues what else can be demonized and subsequently rendered "grey-illegal".

Sad.

with ever little inch we have given the government it has all led to this. Hence why i will defend a smoker's right for example even though im not a smoker. Because justifying one cause justifies them all.

Its an unfortunate reality that more and more of you are finally starting to understand my rationale.

I agree that drinking and driving is a bad thing, but this new stupid law is just ridiculous. That means if I go to a club and have 3 beer (cans) in 2 hours I can get my license suspended.

lots of US states where the legal limit is .05

anything over and you're DUI.
