Sunday hilltop looks aces - calderone has an odd spot though. There's really no one else I would want to see during that time either.
I think we will definitely consider this - do you think we can just show up on Sunday and get the VIP one day ticket?
Shelley - if you hear anything good/bad about the VIP area on Saturday, can you let me know? I really dont think I can spend a whole day drinking only beer/wine/champagne (well, beer/wine anyways)... ;) I'm also intrigued by the viewing area/main stage, except I don't think I would be there for any of the main stage DJs...so, maybe VIP is an extra big waste.
Mostly it's weather dependent for us I think. |

i have a question about the ferry service. i've never been to NY but i'm assuming this would be the easiest way for us to travel to the festival and back. we're staying on east 52nd street and we can grab the ferry at east 35th street.
if we buy tickets for the ferry/water taxi does that guarantee a spot for us? it doesn't really say on the website. we're just worried about getting off the island at the end of the night. |

living on manhattan, I never take the ferry service (dont need to), but if its like any other ferry here, they come every 15-30 minutes (depending on the ferry). If you buy a ticket and the ferry is full, you just get on the next one.... |

hmmm... this is the one that electric zoo is selling tickets for. it runs every hour on the 40 minute mark and the last one is at 11:40.
by the sounds of it you are guaranteed a ticket/seat but there really isn't any information on the site. there isn't even a contact number or email address.

do you think there is a better way to get there and back from midtown manhattan? |

| I'm planning on biking to the island. You can bike over the pedestrian bridge on 103rd Street or over the Triboro (a.k.a. RFK) bridges. I figure this way I don't have to deal with all the madness on the buses, feries, and highways. There is a car free bike lane that runs all around Randall's island and there are bike lanes all around Manhattan too so getting there by bike from the city (or Queens) is a breeze. Just make sure to bring a good lock/chain and lock up your bike while you're partying. |

| well we've decided on the electric zoo ferry. we just bought our tickets. it seems legit and it looks like we are guaranteed a spot on the boat. hopefully it works out for us!! :) |

Sweet thx! For sure.
I'm doing dinner with Marcie (the vocalist) and a few others on Friday night if anyone is interested in coming. Not sure where we're going yet though. |
