I'm a die hard carnivore and I like certain cuts of meat cooked differently. Burgers can be cooked medium to well-done. It's the seasoning that makes a good burger anyway. I'll cook a simple top/bottom round or tri-tip to medium. I'll request that my NY strip, Rib Eye, or Filet be cooked medium rare.

| haha, when i was in prison during easter we got steaks at uhm... that saturday after long friday.. super easter day or what its called.. anyhoo, when it was my turn in the line i asked if he had any that was medium rare, he just shook his with the biggest grin on his face and laughed "nope, they're all WELL done".. :P |

| I always buy the leanest they have, but it still does that because they stuff it with so much color it could probably glow in the dark. |

prime rib & burgers = rare/medium-rare
filet, strip, flank - medium
t-bone, ribeye - medium rare
omg now i want steak tonight and we have filets that are thawed. YEA:D |

naw the freezer has its purpose.
for instance you need to freeze the meat a bit to make carpacio. cutting raw beef that thin is useless even with a cold cut slicer. |

Ok true, but as a general rule I only buy food I can keep fresh in the fridge before I eat it. I hate freezing good food and then eating it later because it never tastes the same. |
