TranceAddict Forums Archive > Main Forums > Music Discussion Pages: [1] 2 3 4  ChicanEaddicts go here please View this Thread in Original format Slylee ok well i had only really heard like maybe 2 Chicane songs/remixes before and they were just a LITTLE too uplifting (borderline cheese) for me at the time...i am just now starting to really get back into the uplifting stuff. for a while it was just hard trance and prog...now i just love it all...well anyway, today a couple of people sent me a bunch of Chicane songs because i was going on and on about Furry Freaks "Soothe" Chicane Remix and they told me he has a lot of chilled out ambient tunes and let me just tell u i am now officially a ChicanEaddict:) i wanna know what songs u recommend from him..so far all i have are; 1. Overture 2. Offshore (Original Ambient Mix) 3. Sunstroke (Orig. mix) 4. Far From the Maddening Crowds 5. Behind the Sun (it's a zipped file i think that's a whole CD? im not wure) im sure they are older tunes but i love them..what else would u recommend from him??? also any other ambient tunes? i have a lot of B & J ambient mixes as well..they are great. anyway i appreciate any suggestions:) thanks..... This is probably my favorite Chicane tune.. Offshore (Disco Citizens mix) - i love! Early - ambient tune.. very relaxing Billie Ray Martin - Honey (Chicane Mix) Slylee ok im listening to Saltwater Thrillseekers remix and ihave definitely heard it before...i just didnt know it was chicane:) also what is some of his newer stuff?? Jah omg finally a thread i went through a little chicane stint a little while back i went nuts i love chicane everything about him i reckon he is the most underrated producer (even though hes famous!) heis AMAZING chicane wise you have to get these tracks... MOJAVE <--- this is in incredible i have been trying to get more info on it every since i heard it on the palladium set but alas its not gonna happen... i think only chicane has a copy... it sounds very similar too Jose Padilla - Who do you love (Chicane Remix) but without vocals so i thought it might be a reworked instrumental of it thats yet to be released... but who knows... i just know it rocks and is without a doubt one of my all time favourite songs. i ripped the whole version from the palladium set and shared it a while ago so i think theres copies floating round. luckily in the palladium set chicane doesnt know how to mix so he just played the track from start to finish so its almost like the whole thing but yeah its just the its incredible the amount of parts it has and how there all so awsome and flow together... genius.... Red Skies (original) <--- just get it. amazing. Leaving Town (5am Mix/Original) <---- aka Salt Tank - Peublo Blanco from gatecrasher wet... (ing owns) aparantly salt tank co-produced the track with chicane. and chicane made them sign a 5 year contract or some not to release it but this is the chicane feel to it.. 5am mix of it owns too... very chill... good news is salt tank said there remixes should be out soon as the contract is up! Lost you Somewhere (Original/Helotropic) <--- well i thought NOTHING could top the helotropic mix wheni heard it its amazing more upbeat but theni heard the original and wow amazing stuff) Sunstroke <--- wow. emotional. Strong in love (as mentioned before rocks! at first i hated it. like really hated it i was like wtf what are people going on about this sux chicane what did you do but on closer inspection i was so wrong.) and also check out the very underrated "from blue to green" and "the drive home". Chicane - Already There dont expect any basslines or anything this is really chill and just creates a awsome atmosphere. i love it. also whoever said Disco Citizens - Footprint .... right on i got the 12" of this rocks bigtime early chicane production....!
